Skyrim Special Edition

Install issues, Animations not working issues

This is not a defacto guide for problem solving but here's some thing to try
if you're having some issues with animations not playing etc

Someone had an issue where they had an older version of Vortex which downloaded
a corrupted version of my mod, make sure your Mod manager's are up to
date

I have no idea why but Vortex/Mod organiser may fail to put the behaviour file "FNIS_NAR_Behavior.hkx" into the correct folder. You may have to manually downloaded and extract just the behaviour file and place it into your "Data\meshes\actors\character\behaviors" folder, FNIS needs this file for it to add my animations to your game

A while back I had to change how the 2h weapons are handled so some older patches may not work correctly, have no idea which patch is out of date
If you're using a 3rd party patch and have two handed weapons that don't work, try a 2h weapon form my mod if the animations work it's the patch, if not try other fixes listed here

You need SKSE and SkyUI for my mod to work

Did you install the mod correctly? there needs to be a NAR folder in your Data\Meshes\actors\character\animations folder

Make sure the Mod is turned on in the MCM menu

Make sure the Quest is running via the console commands, you can try
restarting the quests to fix this, type the following into the console

stopquest newarmouryMCM
stopquest NewArmouryRprNPC

startquest newarmouryMCM
startquest NewArmouryRprNPC

Have you ran FNIS? This is a no brainier FNIS is 100% must

Make sure your FNIS is up to date. Older version of FNIS may not not work, I
think it has something to do with behaviour generation on my part, I'm
not sure, just make sure FNIS is up to date.

Have you installed FNIS correctly, MO2 and maybe Vortex has issues with installing FNIS
sometimes, you may need to do a manual install of FNIS. FNIS's mod page also has a few steps on how to FNIS with Mod Organiser

When you run FNIS there should be a mention of NAR somewhere in the log, do
you see this? If there's no mention of NAR or an error in the FNIS log
than you haven't installed my mod correctly

Make sure there's no loose scripts in with the prefix "NA_" in your "Skyrim/Data/Scripts" folder

Also using a save cleaner too much\incorrectly can screw up FNIS mods, you may need to create a clean save

Animation Issues

If you're Left handed Claws are facing the wrong way make sure "SKELETON Arm Fix" is ticked in FNIS
Check the FNIS description >> Patches for more info on what this does
