Miraak Gear Enchanced
- Mask: All levels now grant 70 magicka, and reduce Shout Cooldown by 20%.
- Robes: Absorbs 15% of magicka from spells and dragon breath attacks, and has a chance to spawn tentacles on hit. Also decreases the cost of all spells by 10%.
- Gloves: Adds 5% to the magicka absorption, and increases destruction spell damage by 10%.
- Boots: Adds 5% to the magicka absorption, and increases magicka and stamina regeneration by 50%.
- Weapons have their charge cost remove (unlimited Enchantment uses), and the Sword is now improved with Daedric Smithing, rather than Dwarven (why it was dwarven in the first place, we'll never know.)
- ... and massively increases the gold value of all items (because it looks better!)
The mess that I'm fixing
Miraak's gear is a bloody mess in the original version.
- The Sword is tempered with Ebony and a Daedra heart, but benefits from the Dwarven Smithing perk (?!)
- The gloves are always light, but can't be tempered.
- The boots are light armor, but are still flagged as clothing. Meaning you can wear them, and still benefit from stuff like Mage Armor perk.
- The Mask can drop in either light or heavy armor, but neither has a proper tempering recipe, and the +70 magicka enchantment is easily replaced. They'll never truly outclass a forged glass- or daedric helmet, with homemade enchantments.
My mod fixes all this in two different versions; "All Light" and "Clothing".
- The Light Armor version adds tempering recipes and smithing skill perk benefits to all pieces, and also allows players to benefit from the Matching Set bonus, when wearing all four pieces.
- The Clothing version removes all armor bonuses, and sets proper flags, allowing you to benefit from the "Mage Armor" alteration perk.
Installation/Uninstallation
Install via NMM or MO: Run the installer and choose desired version.
Simply drop the .esp of your choice from the zip into your Skyrim\Data directory. Use only one of the .esp files!
To uninstall; remove the esp again. But you'd be better off not doing this in the middle of a playthrough (which goes for all Skyrim mods...)
(Anticipated) FAQ
- Q: I installed clothing version, but I can still temper the mask with ebony ingots.
A: That's not a question, but I'll answer any way. You probably have the USLEEP installed, which adds a tempering recipe for the mask. This mod should be loaded after the USLEEP patch. And of course, won't be compatible with other mods that change the gear. - Q: Why no heavy armor version?
A: Because they're robes. Have you seen the gear? Sure the mask is metal, but aside from that there's just a few scales here and there and some fancy epaulets. Light armor is as far as I'll willing to take it! - Q: Does your mod include any scripts?
A: Yes! It uses a script to apply the "fortify destruction" to Miraak's Gloves. There are two "Fortify Destruction" effects in Skyrim; the regular enchant which decreases spell cost, and the alchemy which increases spell potency (more damage). To put the Alchemy effect on an enchantment, I had to use a script. See Acknowledgements. - Q: Are you aware that there are already several mods which change/fix the gear?
A: Yes, but I think my version is better. Also; this is an all-in-one package. I fix the weapons, I fix the armor with two different methods, etc. - Q: Do I need to clean this mod with TES5Edit?
A: Nope, I already did that.
Incompatibility
- Any mod that changes the stats, keywords, or enchantments of Miraak's gear (you can download custom textures though).
- Any mod that changes the "Matching Set" perk for DLC2, you might want to overwrite my changes, or "merge" mods somehow.

Acknowledgements
- thumbincubation - because I imitated his "Increase Destruction Power" effect from a mod of his (allowed).
- ElminsterAU - because I used his Tes5edit to clean stuff.
- Technically I have to credit Boris Vorontsov (creator of ENB) and Megatherium (whose preset I use) because I used it to take some of the screenshots for this mod. So thanks!
- Bethesda, I guess... Because Miraak is a cool villain (well... I thought so)
