Just out of curiosity, what exactly about this mod would cause it to be incompatible with Nexus Mod Manager? All NMM does is facilitate dropping of files into the DATA folder of a game and keeps track of what it has installed and what is getting overwritten.
I downloaded this file manually to take a peek at your zip file's structure out of curiosity and it seems everything would be easily handled by NMM. All the folders are in the right place... the esp is right there in the right place... no extra/options folders that I can see requiring manual pre-install manipulation.
Any problem the user is having with CTDs in this mod isn't very likely to be with their use of Nexus Mod Manager. Unless I'm missing something here as well...
I do notice that IronFlow didn't mention if they were using SKSE or not. And it looks like this mod has Scripts (and thus requires SKSE, right? I can only guess since you don't mention SKSE anywhere in your mod's description) sooo... maybe that is their problem?
Apologies for the yammery comment... it's just... saying "Don't use NMM" feels a little dismissive and reductive of their issue... and maybe indicative of a personal distaste for NMM more than anything else? ^_^;
facts. People act like NMM will turn your cpu into nuclear slag. I still use it and have literally zero problems with anything, just like i havent had for years with it. It's honestly strange how people wanna die on a hill for MO2 or vortex. NMM works just fine.
The simple fact is that NMM/Vortex doesn't use a VFS implementation like MO2 does. When you install a mod with NMM/Vortex, you are directly overwriting any identically-named files that already exist in your game folder. MO2 uses a non-destructive install method that only virtually 'applies' conflict overwrites when the game is launched, allowing you to, for example, change the install priority of mod data without breaking things - something you cannot do in NMM/Vortex, because it installs mods directly into your game folder, always overwriting in case of conflicts. I was right 4 years ago and I'm still right.
beautiful, why is this not more popular?! my only gripe is no LOD. this thing should be visible from way off. Probably one of the best houses around tho
There were a few missing textures in the original SE version and, unfortunately, they are missing here as well (a paper on the desk in the main tower, for example). The author of the original mod later added a patch that fixes it (you can download it here). I've installed it on your version and it seems it's compatible. Maybe you could add it to your files as well?
This house is beautiful. The only reason I'm not using it is because I prefer everything in 1 cell including crafting stations. Still, very unique and cozy home.
Thank you for doing this, I looked into doing this myself and I know its a ton of work dealing with the meshes, some people even claim back porting meshes cannot be done. I was going to look for the resources as I am sure they came out before SE. How did you go about it?
SSE Nif Optimizer has an option where instead of converting Oldrim meshes to SE, you do the reverse. All I had to do was select a folder and click a button.

The newest, shiniest thing is always better than the previously newest, shiniest thing didn't you know?
