Permissions and credits

The aim of this mod is to provide a believable, immersive means of carrying
a vast collection of potions, ingredients, soul gems and other clutter in your inventory.

This mod has been made to improve immersion. The Dragonborn can carry hundreds of items, including books, coins, antlers, potions in glass bottles, axes, clothing, armor and soul-trapping rocks, all while slaying dragons, vampire lords and daedra. Players aiming for immersion may try to limit what they carry for realism, but I find this makes the game less fun. This mod provides a new way of storing your inventory that is less immersion-breaking.

The Bag of Holding
Adds the Bag of Holding, an enchanted, portable, non-respawning, wearable storage unit.
Helpful, customizeble features that make the Bag easier to use.
A mysterious backstory to make the Bag feel like it belongs in Skyrim.

V1.3 Now Available!
Adds more item categories, new customization options, and a new
Pause Storage system for easier use when bartering and crafting

Requirements and Compatibility
Dawnguard and Dragonborn required. Fully compatible with all my mods.
It may be incompatible with other mods that amend Bloodlet Throne.

Credits
Special thanks to Gamwich for allowing me to use a texture file from Rustic Clothing,
and to Dragten for allowing me to use a mesh file from Bandoliers.

Customization
Customization options are shown below in yellow.
To open Customization options, drop the Bag of Holding from your inventory and grab it (i.e. hold the activate button on it).

Access
The Bag of Holding is an equippable container that can be accessed by:
1) Using the "Bag of Holding: Access" power (see customization option below)
2) Un-equipping the Bag of Holding (this allows easy hotkey-access; assign the Bag to your favourites and unequip with hotkeys to access it)

Storing items in the Bag is like storing in any other non-respawning storage container, and the Bag is enchanted to store an unlimited supply of items. However, not all kinds of items can be stored in it (see Customization below).

Customization: Access power
When enabled, the "Bag of Holding: Access" power appears in your inventory when you possess the Bag.
Default: enabled

Customization: Combat lock
When enabled, the player can NOT access the Bag during combat.
Default: access denied during combat
Note: this is useful to prevent the Bag spoiling challenging gameplay. For example, you could fill the Bag with thousands of healing potions (far more than you could usually carry) and then spam them during combat to make yourself immortal. Locking the Bag during combat prevents this game-breaking tactic from being exploited.

Customization: Auto-equip
When enabled, the Bag is automatically equipped whenever in the player's inventory.
Default: enabled
Note: this is particularly useful if you're using hotkeys to access the Bag by unequipping it.

Storage and Auto-packing
There are 23 categories of item recognised by the Bag, and for each you can customize whether Storage and/or Auto-packing is enabled.
The categories are: armor, shields, clothing, jewelry, ingredients, potions, food, books, notes, scrolls, gemstones, soul gems, keys, lockpicks, gold, smithing items, miscellaneous items, ammo (e.g. arrows), bows, daggers, one-handed weapons, two-handed weapons, and staves.

Customization: Storage
When enabled, you can store items of a certain category (e.g. ingredients) in the Bag.
You don't need to equip the Bag to store item in it.

Customization: Auto-pack
When enabled, items of a certain category (e.g. ingredients) will be automatically transferred to the Bag when the player acquires them.
Auto-packing only works when the Bag is equipped. Auto-packing can only be enabled when Storage is also enabled.

Pausing Storage
This option allows player's to easily access the Bag's contents while performing tasks like crafting and bartering.
Pausing storage transfers all the Bag's contents to the player's inventory. When storage is resumed, all items that should be stored in the Bag are transferred back into it. This is very useful when you want to make use of a lot of the Bag's contents (to sell or to use in crafting, for example) and don't want to waste time manually transferring items to and from the Bag.

Note: although pausing storage is instant, resuming storage can take a few seconds as all the items are repacked into the Bag. While storage is in the process of resuming, the Bag can be used as normal, but you can't pause storage again until storage is completely resumed.

Note: strorage can't be paused during Combat Lock (see the Access section).

Customization: Allow pause
When enabled, the "Bag of Holding: Pause storage" power appears in your inventory when you possess the Bag.
Default: enabled

Customization: Pause indicator
When enabled, the player glows green when storage is paused, and yellow when in the process of resuming storage.
Default: disabled

Appearance
Customization: 20% Larger
When enabled, the Bag appears 20% larger when equipped.
This is mainly to prevent clipping issues with some armor pieces.
Default: disabled

Customization: Visibile
When disabled, the Bag isn't visible when equipped.
Default: enabled

The Bag of Holding can be found in Bloodlet Throne, a vanilla location in Southern Falkreath. There are three sections to this location: the fort, the cavern and the fighting pit. The Bag can be found in the cavern, where you can find a bedroom area filled with beds. In this bedroom is a cage, and in the cage you'll find the body of a mage with the Bag in his posession.

Please see the pictures in the gallery above for the exact location of the Bag.

The mage also has a letter on him that gives some backstory on where the Bag has come from. I've deliberately kept this backstory vague to make sure it doesn't contradict any existing lore while also making the Bag feel like it belongs in the world of Skyrim.
