A couple questions (I'm new to modding): 1. Since there's no 1 to 1 texture file to match the mesh files, do I just.... rename the nif for the staff I want to replace, annnnnd not put anything correspondingly named in the texture folder and it'll still override the vanilla texture that went with the old mesh and instead use the ones that you've set the mesh to use?
2. And do these show up properly in 1st person without separate files for that?
You can rename then to whatever you like and these resources use the vanilla textures, so there's no need to do anything relating to textures unless you want to change them yourself. Yes, they show up properly in 1st person!
I replaced an in-game staff with the spriggan one, but the wooden handle has no texture in-game, even though the texture is definitely in the right place. Any idea what might be wrong?
I love it, now I just have to wait and hope someone makes staves that use this resource so I can use them in game, because I have no idea how to do it myself otherwise I would.
