No edits have been made to this mod during that time. Is it possible you uninstalled or unchecked the mod? Or did you download something else that overwrote the changes?
Oh hi... I didn't actually expect a response XD Yeah, I made sure it was still checked and moved it to the bottom of the load order just for good measure. I examined the plugin with TES5Edit and there was nothing conflicting with or overriding it. Finally, I examined a mage bandit, a nord female with mfgconsole, and it didn't reveal that she had been altered by any plugins. There was also a female dark elf mage, but I read the description. It's normal for this mod to leave a few dark elves as mages.
This is still odd. Dark elves should not really be present as bandits, especially not as mages, nor should female mage bandits, obviously. It really does sound you have managed to encounter a strange issue here. Is this limited to one particular save file, or the whole game?
Oh let it be known throughout the nexus community that I am indeed plagued with the weirdest, least sensible problems that no one's ever heard of lol But to answer your question, I do believe I've only encountered the issue while playing my nord warrior save. I'm playing my thief save now, and I don't think I've encountered the problem....yet...
Did you create the save with this issue prior to installing the mod, didn't touch it for a while, and had the issue happening now as you returned to said old save file?
Yes... In this stituation I did because this is a new build and I only remembered this mod when a mage bandit attacked me lol Is this one that needs to be loaded with a new game?
Not quite. If you already had a save file from when you were using vanilla settings for the bandits, a lot of them would already have spawned in their respective roles. I think it eventually would fix itself however, where the new bandits automatically would be phased in as time passes, or when they are killed and respawn. Nevertheless, everything will of course work more smoothly on a fresh save.
Based on their descriptions, it seems that the Genesis mod would be compatible. On the other hand, Revenge of the Enemies suggested that leveled lists perhaps could be a problem, but that loading it below your other mods shoulld fix it.
Well, it dind´t worked for me. I had the opposite effects. Now every bandit stronghold has mainly mage bandits npcs. THe only other bandit mod i used is OBIS. Any help? thanlks!
How do you mean now? You can't use Skyband and OBIS simultaneously. That would be causing one or both of the mods to work incorrectly, since they are aiming to do the opposite thing.
Or are you saying you were using OBIS previously, but use Skyband now? Then files or assets from OBIS could still be affecting your game through previous saves or similar. Make sure that you disable and/or uninstall OBIS properly before switching over.
I definitely agree there are too many magic users in bandit camps and respect what you've done here, however since you turned all their bandit women into Nord Men, How am I suppose to continue meeting my quota and taking captives to supply the underground demand for slaves to the rest of Skyrim? I generally opt to slaughter the men they aren't worth as much and not as much fun tbo, I'll either have to take a pay cut or double my efforts in collecting men which creates logistical issues for me. I have to occasionally resupply my own private "Elite" harem collection. Hell, I lost 2 earlier to a pack of ravenous wolves. I haven't seen a dragon yet at the compound but I just know one's coming. Dating will be few and far between because the entire reluctant eligible female and recently widowed population just got cut down drastically. I'm gonna have to think about this.
I went to download this mod as I thought it was an excellent idea and am in full agreement with the reasons behind it, but having read giamel's comment that suddenly all the bandits are changed to men as a result...I think that has also changed the realism back a step.
No, not all bandits are male and there are still plenty of female bandits. All it does is to replace mage bandits. If some of those happened to be female, then they were replaced, but as long as they weren't using magic, all female bandits remain just as normal.
I love this mod - thank you very much! I use it combined with Lore Friendly Bandits so now I have a lot of desperate people, unhomed by dragons and the civil war, forced to survive in the harsh reality of Skyrim in a civil war...
I know immersive gets overused, but this mod is, well, immersive. :)

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Skyband does NOT remove all female bandits from the game, something which some comments here may incorrectly suggest.
Please be aware of this before commenting.

I will track the mod and see what transpires.
Many, many thanks for the clarification and for your work in making this mod to share!
completely delusional, In what world do you live in that has gangs that commit violent armed robbery consisting of 50/50 male and female...
