since I've seen some new endorsements for the textures, I will work on improving them, mostly the displacement map for mountains on mesh level - maybe new mod or this one still since I don't like to make new pages

Just came across this, I dig it! Am I correct that it wouldn't work in SE? Because the parallax system is different?

Hi, just avoid any P meshes, textures are textures, there is nothing to port, I did not do any port because all the modding fun for me was the parallax system and enb special effects good for SSS

Thank you for all your amazing work :)

Found a little bug with rockpilem03.nif textures loading from wrong location.

I've been having a problem with that nif as well. Get purple textures where ever I encounter that mesh.

To fix it open the nif located in "Data\meshes\landscape\rocks\rockpilem03.nif".
Click on the small arrow before "BSLODTriShape", then click on the small arrow before "BSLightingShaderProperty", now click on the "BSShaderTextureSet".
Rename all the textures from "majestic" to "LSrockslab01" save.

thx I like to think of these stones as beach stones, with fossilized patterns with water erosions
I used David trees by David, I recommend that guy in general, along Pfuscher and renthal311 as environmental artists

Ya welcome. They look very appealing. so much that i want tu hug them.. have to find these sones in RL :'D
I will check Davids work, thanks.
I have the special edition and use mathys 3D trees & plants. For trees i think its the best you can get and the smaller Flora&co i mixnmatch with Pfuscher and renthal311s creations.

These are amazing. Can't say much more than that dude.
I hope one day you decide to do a rock/Mountain overhaul with this kind of detail.
I know there is one other mod that does that and I think its made by Pfuscher. Looks amazing but not much rock color variants. I think its based off of vanilla rock and mountain colors. which are bright in my opinion.

      I tried...

      oh wait... what?
trust me that is..... my fav.... mountain. First I need to work more on these piles

If I ever decide to attempt beating that, it must be R-E-A-L-L-Y good miss mountain. I guess not only good 4k large scale shot but with some detail added here and there and great colour map, probably hand edited. Or I jump into color diffuse and good normal, without shape or any form I mean from base texture (just normals), that way mountain seams bigger. Majestic/renthal have had them.

      best thx for showing by

I will try, I haven't yet, but if you want you can try rename lsrockslab to mountainslab01 and 02 (along other stuff)

or I will keep 4k up top (parallax white piles 4k) and then the lower part I will make with a very step precipice going down (vertical texture) that will add to that 4k and will be 8k

I am very close to making a mountain

well I mean it's just an experiment, but you said you want mountain, I might do it, very close
EDIT: don't bother it won't look good as mountain will try 4k + 8k format

lol I was looking into the files that are used with 4k mountains by Pfuscher and there are TONS of files for meshes, texture, effects and for architecture for markarth and what not. So I didn't even know what to really do lol. Just take your time. I use your mod and 4k mountains along side each other. It works for me.

yeah I recommend that, these mountain meshes are not so bad, I was doing solitude mesh and 1 mesh by Beth has 40 nodes, hmmm, I edited it 10 times for tests but still can't release, buggy as hell,

      all for nothing

I will be searching a texture with more bumps and less crevices/erosions, if I find I'll update, dunno when and if, I'll give it a whirl
I am training myself inb4 a mountainslab project, this could be a mountain texture already haven't tried this one on mountain mesh, could be

I elect lucidstorm1 for a project that adds parallax to Solstheim/Apocrypha in its entirety. Believe it or not, there are no mods anywhere that add parallax meshes/textures to the Dragonborn DLC at all. While such a project would be a huge undertaking, it would be nice to see someone tackle said project & given your awesome work with Windhelm/this mod/Glacierslab, this is why I elect lucidstorm1 to tackle such a project. Of course, it's merely a suggestion & I would expect it to take some time to complete but here's to hoping you're open to suggestions like what I've posted here. Thanks.

Sosltein needs good stalhrim first (ore and rocks)

cabal has embedded normals with parallax if I am not wrong, and he did some solstein ?

anyway yes that need some love 2, first of all roads

      thank u my friend

Cabal did do a retex of Solstheim with his aMidianborn mod but it does not have Parallax though. Did some research on this particular subject online & after all these years, not one modder has addressed the utter lack of Parallax meshes/textures for Solstheim. There are zero mods anywhere that add Parallax to Solstheim whatsoever, resulting in graphical glitches when using ENB's Parallax feature/Parallax bugfixes. Even Vivid Landscapes lacks anything Solstheim related, which is what I use for most of my landscape in-game. Your mods work extremely well alongside Vivid Landscapes & don't conflict at all that I'm aware of.

SparrowPrince's The Ruffled Feather mod includes some good Stalhrim textures that are transparent. Said mod can be found on The STEP Team's Nexus page here:

      https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11/?

That package also includes Better Dynamic Snow, a really good retex of the snow in-game that has SMIM-compatible meshes included in the installer.

thx I didnt know that. I am finishing the coral beds, I will put them in the Solstein area parallax, this is big zoom in from jpeg, orignal mod will not have pixels that u can see, would make sense since there is a volcano so warmer seas, First I need a decent beach
