Version 2.0 Released! - Edited the leveled lists so they should be more balanced; vampires mostly spawn <= the player's level. * Remember though ... the game itself does place some vampire NPCs that have levels set already, my mod doesn't change their level. - Removed the script from vampire weapons that could infect you with Sanguinare Vampiris - it was causing script errors.
NOTE: Vampires in this mod are leveled. The leveled lists have had the level numbers altered, but they still spawn depending on the character level. HOWEVER ... some vampires in Skyrim are not placed as a leveled actor. Some NPCs are placed as a specific level that is not reflective of your level. I did not do this - that is from the vanilla game.
For example:I went to Haemar's Shame as a level 1 character. All other vampires were the same level as me (all level 1) EXCEPT the boss at the end which Skyrim (not me) has placed as a tier 3 vampire. This means it spawned as a level 19 adversary. I'm not modding to make vampires vastly out-level you, but Skyrim does have some spawns unleveled.
Any chance of us getting a Lite version of this that just overhauls combat type? It's really boring fighting vampires that only go one handed or one handed with magic in the other hand. It'd be nice to have some that duel wield, use bows or axes or greatswords.
question, with certain mods installed the blood gem that this mod provides at the start is doubled. alternative start use but by itself it does not cause the gem to be duplicated, I tried to use the aetherius overhaul races mods but it duplicated the gem, as far as it could be an error or conflict and I do not start the game because there will not be much more conflicts forward. Does anyone know what happened?
When I launch skse from MO2 with your mod Better Vampire NPCs 2.0 the game doesn't launch. I have your other mods Better Vampires 8.9 and Better Vampire Lords 1.2 and they don't make the launcher crash. But Vampire NPCs 2.0 does.
In my list of mods it does say I have the DLC Dawnguard
Oh I used LE instead of SE ! My bad sorry ! @smhanson21 I think you had the same issue !
Whenever I install this mod, my game doesn't open, and I don't really get any feedback on why. The text for the game on Steam just stops being green. Any idea how to fix?
Are you using a mod manager ? Do you have dawnguard ?, ( you'd be surprised the amount of ppl who still don't have the dlc ) What ver are trying to install ?
Downloading any of two of latest versions (2.0) displays a message that the mod is not compatible with the current game version (SE AE). Downloading version 1.9 seems to fix the issue. Should I just ignore the message and use 2.0 version or should I stick to 1.9?
Thanks for your time and effort! It's a must have mod for any vampire playthrough.

Fallrim Tools - Script Cleaner and more: A powerful savegame editor/cleaner for Skyrim LE and Skyrim SE.
Invisibility Glitch - Eyes Fix: This mod fixes the invisibility eyes glitch (eyes get messed up after turning invisible/visible). Requires SKSE.
Vampire Lines Expansion: This mod provides new spliced lines to (mostly) vampires, giving them more personality and making encounters unique.

I'm using Loot and Degradation for this. Maybe I'll just have that lower in my load order. Should be fine either way.
I guess that means it'll play nice with Wildcat. That's good.
I'm not sure how True Unleveled Skyrim will treat the bloodglass, but it's not like it will crash my game.
Looking good, I'll see if it works.
Update: No problem, everything seems to work fine.
