I thought I'd give this mod a try - very cute - but they disappear too fast - one moment the dog was with me and I had to jump up to get somewhere and then it was gone - looked all over and it was just "poof" - tried it with my other characters and same thing - is there no command or whistle or something to call them back like you can with the donkey in the game?
No, they just run on very simple AI packages. The only time I lost mine was when I went for a swim and he got stuck out somewhere. At worse, you can uninstall, save, reinstall and they'll follow again like nothing happened.
Very nice, thanks for sharing. I wasn't sure if you were serious about the robot, but this answer that question.
Any plans to release a version of this for vanilla? Other than placing the pets in Enderal's worldspace, it doesn't appear that there's any other dependencies on Enderal. Vanity pets strike me as something that would have broad appeal.
Yep, I have to at least do a cat for Skyrim because a friend requested it, lol. And I kind of want to try some fun things like a magical anomaly "familiar" type thing, but there may be some hiccups I'm not anticipating there.
The other Enderal dependency would be the factions set-up (so they're ignored by enemies), but that's already been done for Skyrim, so. And it should be compatible with Campfire out of the box that way.
I'd love to have this for normal Skyrim. I've been trying to find a mod that adds passive pets for a while. I like company on my travels but followers/pets in combat are so terribly annoying.
Yeah, I feel the same. I only started using people followers after trying Inigo, and I use FollowerLivePackage to set my pooches to be unaggressive. Since I kind of like camping in Skyrim, I leave them to "guard" my nearby campsite while I go dungeon delving.

Best compromise I'd found so far.
