BUT I KINDA MISS XANTHYS SO FRIDAY IM PICKING OUT FROM A LIST OF UPDATES TO WORK ON, I LIKE ALL OF EM BUT CANT DECIDE SO ILL LET YOU, ILL ALSO BE REPLYING TO ALL THE COMMENTS IVE BEEN NEGLECTING SINCE IVE BEEN SWAMPED WITH WORK AN IRL STUFF SO HERES THE UPDATE LIST, JUST REPLY TO THIS COMMENT WITH A NUMBER FROM THE LIST AN ILL TALLY UP EVERYTHING
1. Voice Line Update: Voice Lines can be a s#*! ton ogf combat an idle dialogue as well as giving hints about his life
2. Spells Update: Spells update can be just a s#*! ton of random spells he can use and cast on the player
3. AI Update Comprising of him performing various actions: AI Update could be when you enter a dragon claw door room he goes up to inspect it in his human form an starts banging on it with a hammer while sayin s#*! an make some doors enabled to have him destroy them expand on his drunk function maybe even have him lead the way in a vanilla dungeon an have him do cool an crazy s#*! in it
4. Follower interactions: Follower Interactions could be just like what we did with jarek an add genesis to the mix
5. Armor Update: Armor Update could just be more armor for xanthys to use
Bug fixes will be part of the update as well as tweaks
I'm torn between 1, 3, and 4. All of them sound awesome. Xanthys (and Jarek as I can't have one without the other anymore) have been part of my load order since I found them! xD Anything you do to to update Xanthys will be awesome!
is there a way to fix xanthys from running away? I haven't had that problem for a while and now all of a sudden he runs away from a fight. he is now level 23!
YES I AM!!! Im currently going over in my head how to squeeze in some mod time I took a break from work last week and now its buisness as usual again and Im now deciding how to manage my schedule and free time to push the xanthys update I been workin onnnnnnn
I was hoping you were still planning on updating! I miss having this crazy dude in my game, but I didn't want to download before the update, if there still is one. Please tell me you're planning on working on him more soon! He's so unique and lovable, I've been eagerly awaiting any new info!
Is anyone else having issues with this mod not working? Cant seem to get it to run at all. Its the only mod that stops my current playlist and im very confused why its being touchy.
I ported this to SE, ran all nifs through nif optimizer, redid all the textures giving them mipmaps and resaved as bc7, except the glowy which are bc4, loaded the mod into the CK and exported face gens for Mannimarco as on my testing he had a black face, and no files for him were in the meshes and textures folders and adding those fixed that, I tweaked my faster hdtsmp config xml file so Xan's head wasn't invisible and now I have him working perfectly in my game. That lot took less than an hour to do. I am loving his look, his clothes, his voice, when first meeting Mannimarco I said to my husband 'he sounds like wowbagger' and looking at the credits yep, skinnytecboy who does the voice of both.
I'm having problems with his interactions with Jarek, Xanthys can talk, but Jarek gets his dialogue stuck and bugged where he starts to talk but the dialogue cuts and the subtitles start to glitch in the screen. Is in any way conflicting with other mod? the only one that I can think of is the Immersive amazing follower tweaks but I don't know.
Xanthys can’t transform into a dragon priest form, but I have all the items needed to transform and unlocked his dialogue about dragon priest. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
FFS This took way to long to figure. Ok time for some learning cause I fucking had too. First, the requirements for the dragon priest form are as follows >Relationship value at 18 or more >Xanthys is set as his normal Xanthys race, and not some wacky ride form or the dragon priest form already >His follower quest is on stage 20 >He has a fire salts ingredient in his inventory >He has one of the dragon priest masks in his inventory
Errors that you are probably experiencing looking for a solution. >Relationship value is to low. This is possible as his follower quest stage is what triggers the dialogue where he tells you how he can turn into a dragon priest, but the relationship value where the stage updates is below 18, so either set his relationship to 18 with the console (set Xanthys_RelationshipGlobal 18) or travel with him some more. >Wrong amount of fire salts The relationship check is checking with a greater than or equal too. The fire salts however, do a check as equal too, no greater than. In short, only have one(1) fire salt in Xanthys inventory, or it will not work. >Wrong dragon priest mask The dialogue will only appear if he has at least one of the base game dragon priest masks in his inventory, so none of the ones from dragonborn, wooden mask also works.
