==================
REQUIREMENTS
==================
This mod requires the 'Enderal Shards Of Order' total conversion mod for Skyrim, which was created by SureAI.

==================
FEATURES IN DETAIL
==================
Adds recipes for the forge to ...
1) create arrows: (Handicraft level requirements in parentheses)
- iron arrows (16),
- steel arrows (19),
- sharp steel arrows (22),
- fine steel arrows (25),
- rune arrows (27),
- silver steel arrows* (31),
- starling arrows (33 or have the starling smithing perk),
- arrows of the righteous path (40),
- aeterna arrows (50).
2) create an 'Amulet of Arcane Handicraft'.
- While wearing it you can improve the tempering of enchanted armor and weapons at
- the workbench and sharpening wheel for higher stats.
- Requires four items: 1 corundum ingot, 1 leather strip, 1 spare parts and 1 filled petty soul gem.
- But, the recipe will not be listed until Handicraft skill is level 26 or higher.
- Once crafted, equip the amulet when you want to improve an enchanted weapon or piece of armor.
- The amulet does not use a body slot, so you can wear a normal necklace or amulet at the same time.
- The amulet is not visible from either 3rd or 1st person view points. ( pretend it is in a hidden pocket )

Adds recipes for the sharpening wheel to ...
1) improve enchanted weapons.
2) improve many pre-enchanted unique type weapons:
- "The Beesting", "Black Widow's Elegy", "Boneripper", "Commander Greatsword", "Deathstorm",
- "Halberd of the Kilan Elder Guard", "Keeper Bow of the Arcane Wrath", "Kilean Falcata",
- "Kilan Sarrass", "Kilan Tabar", "Kilra's Redemption", "Light Bringer", "Light-Born's Memory",
- "Morala's Edge", "Oath of the Petrified", "Qalian's Absolution", "Qalian's Smile",
- "Selna's Rage", "Sting of the Blue Islands".

Adds recipes for the workbench to ...
1) improve enchanted armor.
2) improve (Set Item) armors.
3) improve pre-enchanted robes with armor ratings and pre-enchanted hoods with armor ratings.
4) improve circlets with armor ratings.

Adds recipes for the smelter to ...
1) Smelt down silver clutter to silver ingots:
amphoras, bowls, candlesticks, goblets, mugs, plates, platters and urns.
2) Smelt down ancient (dwarven type) clutter to scrap metal of an ancient nation;
amphoras, bowls, components (cogs), goblets, urns and the small levers called scrap metal; step 1 of 2 ...
3) then smelt down the ancient scrap metal to metal ingots of an ancient nation, step 2 of 2.
4) Smelt down horseshoes to steel ingots.
5) Smelt down iron arrows, weapons and weapon tops to iron ingots.
6) Smelt down iron shields, helmets and cuirasses to iron ingots.
7) Smelt down hauberks, chain boots and chain gloves to iron ingots.
8) Smelt down steel arrows and steel weapons to steel ingots.
9) Smelt down steel shields, steel helmets and steel cuirasses to steel ingots.
10) Smelt down silver weapons to silver ingots.
11) Smelt down rune arrows, weapons and armor to malachite ingots.
12) Smelt down silver steel arrows* and weapons to moonstone ingots.
13) Smelt down starling arrows, weapons and armor to metal ingots of an ancient nation.
14) Smelt down righteous path arrows, weapons and armor to shadow steel ingots.
15) Smelt down aeterna gauntlets and boots to shadow steel ingots.
16) Smelt down aeterna arrows, weapons, shields, helmets and cuirasses to glowing thorium ingots.
17) Smelt down circlets to ingots of various types.
18) Smelt ingots in bulk (more than one at a time).

- note 1:
- future version(s) will add smelting capability for pre-enchanted items that are not quest specific.

- note 2:
- because I do not want to break any quests, no smelting or break down recipes have been
- created for what I consider quest specific items.

Adds recipes for the tanning rack to ...
1) Break down leather shields, leather cuirasses and thief tunics to leather.
2) Break down vagrant dress, old vagrant dress and old vagrant hoods to leather.
3) Break down Tribunal (Set Item) boots and Wandering Mage (Set Item) boots to leather.
4) Break down Tribunal (Set Item) gloves and Wandering Mage (Set Item) gloves to leather strips.

Fixes for Enderal bugs...
1) Iron Helmet crafting produces the non-forged version: changed recipe to create the slightly better forged helmet as intended.
2) Crafting recipe for Aeterna Boots has duplicated shadow steel material requirement: removed the duplicated requirement.

Modifies these smelter recipes ...
1) The iron ore to iron ingot recipe.
Two iron ores are required now instead of one.
Balances out being able to smelt iron from things listed above, and besides iron ore is abundant.

2 Iron Ores = 1 Iron Ingot

2) The steel ingot recipe.
Effectively halves the corundum ore required. Get 2 steel ingots per corundum ore, but requires 4 iron ores.
An additonal recipe has been added to allow a corundum ingot to be used to make steel.
Two bulk recipes have been added to be able to smelt five times as much steel in one smelting step.

4 Iron Ores + 1 Corundum Ore = 2 Steel Ingots
8 Iron Ores + 1 Corundum Ingot = 4 Steel Ingots
20 Iron Ores + 5 Corundum Ores = 10 Steel Ingots
40 Iron Ores + 5 Corundum Ingots = 20 Steel Ingots

(*) Silver Steel Arrows ...
Enderal does not have an arrow that corresponds with Silver Steel weapons and armor.
So, I have instead changed what appears to be an otherwise unused 'Qyrnian arrow'.
I based my unused conclusion on the fact that there are no Qyrnian weapons or armor.
I have not played the game beyond traveling to Ark and meeting a certain person to cure my character's fever,
if there are indeed Qyrnian arrows in later parts of the game, please leave me a comment.

More recipes are planned for future version(s).

Enderal - AdditonalBasicSmeltingAndCraftingRecipes-78625-0-1

"Experimental mod. See ReadMe [this file] for usage and information about Enderal bug ERB-833."
------------------------------------------------------------

{ skip to the bottom for uninstall steps }

A Handicraft/smithing bug has been reported to the SureAI team:
http://sureai.net:9898/browse/ERB-833

ERB-833 On-line title:
'Handicraft 100'

ERB-833 On-line description:
'Doesn't upgrade beyond 'Exquisite' level, no 'Master' tempering, making the last 25 allotted points pointless?'.

I did some investigating of the bug from an unmodded Skyrim perspective ...
Each weapon and armor has an associated keyword.
That keyword indicates the material: iron/steel/ebony etc.
There is a progression to the material types. E.g. Iron --> Steel --> Elven --> Ebony
The associated keyword is used by a script to compute a scaling factor for the tempering.
For each keyword there is a different base number that is subtracted from your smithing level for determining the scaling factor.
There are also perks in unmodded Skyrim for each of the major material types.
Taking the perk allows the player to craft new weapons and armor of that material type.
But, the perk also allows weapons and armor of that material to be improved "twice as much".
Without the perk, a player cannot temper higher than the 'Flawless' level, even at Smithing skill 100.
With the perk, a player can temper to 'Epic' and 'Legendary' levels.
See the 'Improvement' section on this web page:
http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Smithing_(Skyrim)

However, in Enderal, the perks for the material types have been deactivated with one exception.
The dwarven material perk is now called 'Smithing: Starling', and I am not sure how it may be obtained.
It appears that the SureAI team did not compensate for the missing "twice as much" tempering boosts the perks provided.
Also, the material type keywords used by Enderal follow a different progression.
E.g. the strongest weapons and armor, Aeterna, have the Eleven keyword.
I am not sure if the tempering scaling script was updated for the new progression, or if it is even used in Enderal.

This experimental mod that I have created can be used until the SureAI team sends us a true fix for the bug.

Once installed, you will need to go to a forge and craft the 'zz Temp Fix for Smithing Bug ERB-833' ring-type item.
It only requires one Wood item from your inventory to craft.
Next, equip the pre-enchanted 'zz Temp Fix for Smithing Bug ERB-833' ring-type thing.
It does not use a body slot, so you can still wear a real ring of your choosing at the same time.
The item's enchantment provides a Fortify Handicraft buff of "100 percent".
With the Handicraft rules, what it really does is reduce the Handicraft level
required to attain the 'Flawless' and 'Legendary' higher tempering levels.
When I tried it, it somewhat comes close to the 'With Perk' levels listed in the Improvement section of the web article above.
I was able to get to 'Flawless' at Handicraft 67, and 'Legendary' at Handicraft 89.
Don't bother with trying to get 'Epic' tempering, it is like they hid it or did away with it, perhaps inadvertantly.

If and when the bug is fixed I will delete this experimental mod and
anybody using the mod should uninstall it carefully to dispell the enchanment
from their character(s) and to prevent the ring-type thing from bloating save game files:
1) Create a regular save game file not just a quicksave.
2) Unequip the 'zz Temp Fix for Smithing Bug ERB-833' ring-type item. This will dispell the enchantment.
3) Find an empty container such as a chest or barrel.
4) Store all of the 'zz Temp Fix for Smithing Bug ERB-833' ring-type items you created in the container.
5) While in 1st person, stand in front of the container, but not too closely.
6) Open the console using the '~' key.
7) Click on the container with your mouse.
8) Type in 'showinventory' without the quotes and press the Enter key.
9) The only item shown in the inventory list should be the ring-type thing with an item code ending in '000802'.
10) If there are other items listed, go back to step 7 and retry.
11) Type in 'removeallitems' without the quotes and press the Enter key.
This will remove the created ring-type item(s) from your game world.
12) Close the console using the '~' key.
13) Create a second regular save game file not just a quicksave.
14) Exit the game.
15) Use your mod manager or the Enderal launcher to deactivate/uninstall the mod.
16) Check your Skyrim/Enderal Data folder, if you see the 'Enderal - EnigmaSmithingBuff100.esp' file, delete it.
17) Start Enderal and load the save you created from step 13.
18) A pop-up warning will be displayed about the missing plug-in.
19) Accept the warning to continue loading the save.
20) Once loaded, create a third regular save game file not just a quicksave.
21) The mod is now fully uninstalled and your game should be back to normal.
