The Whiterun Underground Lair
The one-stop shop and home for you and your posse.

---------------

Nobody knows for sure when the Lair began, but for years it operated as a free hostel for rogues and killers, when such clientele wished to relax and kick back their boots without getting heat in Bannered Mare or the Drunken Huntsman, to be able to buy and sell contraband, including moon sugar and skooma.

More than a quarter century ago, one of its famous clients was none other than Gallus, the supreme thief among thieves in Skyrim and possibly the whole of Tamriel; he had one of the old portions of the Whiterun sewer system taken and rebuilt as his personal headquarters away from Riften, and where he could conduct secret transactions with clientele or, if he wished, bed someone for the night.

But since then, after Gallus' demise the Lair -- operated by Marius and the twins Elisa and Cynthia -- had his personal quarters open for anyone as long as they kept things in order, and the speakeasy in general operated well enough even with the decline of the Thieves Guild, as it served a variety of brigands or desperadoes.

FACILITIES
----------
Player's personal quarters
8 bedspaces for followers
Full crafting stations
5 bookshelves
20 weapon racks
All the Divines' shrines plus the Blessed Name o' Nocturnal
Safe storage throughout (absolutely no reset)
Can trade to both Marius and Elisa, including stolen goods

OPTIONALS
---------
There are three optional plugins that you may use: no trainers, no servants, or no NPCs. Rename the original ESP first (say, backup) then copy over the optional plugins and rename it to match the .BSA archive. This is to prevent errors such as dialog bugs or grayface.

INSTALLATION
------------
Install normally with any mod manager. Make sure that you made a gamesave without the character inside Whiterun proper.

REMOVAL
-------
Grab all items in chests, racks, mannequins and other containers, make a gamesave in any interior (except the Lair itself or within Whiterun), then exit the game before removing this mod.

UPGRADING
---------
Take all stored items from containers, chests and racks, and then step out of the Lair, enter any interior in any of the homes in Whiterun, before making a new gamesave and exiting Skyrim. Use the installation procedure to upgrade the mod, before going back into the game.

COMPATIBILITY
-------------
This mod should work with the following:

JK Lite (or most city revamp mods, except maybe for HOLDS)
Breezehome Fully Upgradable
Most flora mods (I made sure the door is definitely out of the way)
Ars Metallica
Imperial Mail Service (the reason I added the NPCs -- so that I can send packages to known inns and taverns, or access my savings account)

BACKSTORY
---------
The idea of creating Lair began when I was trying to find an alternate shelter for followers while working on Peregrine Highwatch. Finding nothing that suited me, I decided to build a follower home so that I could then be able to fix and test my other player homes without derailing gameplay.

CREDITS
-------
jet4571 for his Copy and Paste Warehouse, which allowed for quicker placement of presentable clutter and furniture.

NOTICES
-------
Any changes or alterations to the mod must require my permission. Uploading this mod to sites other than Nexus or TESA is prohibited.
