    Hi,

I was desperatly looking for a texture replacer for juniper trees that will fit for Skyrim Flora Overhaul - Large Juniper trees, but the folder/file hierarchy isnt the same at all, so those great textures are not applied on the large juniper trees provided by Floraa Overhaul

Is there a way (or another mod?) to have better textures on the large juniper trees ?

This is by far the best juniper on the Net.
Do I have your permission to include it to "Forests of Dibella", WHEN (and if) I'll start making the pants too?

Great texture, but needs a 3D mesh to keep it from being 2D flat looking.

this resembles what renthal did, just my few cents, gonna test it today, I saw similar texture but can't remember which one of renthal's flora, the fact that his mods are down doesn't help

I'm really a fan of the work you put into this retexture, but I don't currently use it because I am bothered by how much it makes the terrible flatness stand out in the mesh.

Just thought I'd put a bug in your ear and let you know that Vurt recently released a really wonderful (although, in my opinion, a bit too large) mesh for the juniper. Your texture isn't currently compatible with Vurt's mesh, and I was wondering if you'd be willing to consider making an edited version that is. I'd really love to see your textures on a mesh that is worthy of them.

    Best regards.

Sorry for the late reply. Yep, I agree with you, which is why I recommend using the Lush Overhaul in the description. I'm pretty sure it adds extra branches to the juniper bushes to (slightly) alleviate the issue. I'm a big fan of most of Vurt's work (even helped him out with some of it) but doesn't the new juniper mesh turn them into massive trees? I like the Reach looking more windswept with stunted trees and bushes. Makes the mountains feel larger and more imposing without trees obscuring them.

Jup, not to mention, that Vurts new juniper tress are basicly incombatible with every mod that adds anywhere a juniper tree or replaces them.

Stability issues because of a 22mb texture? LOL!

But thank you very much for this great retexture that wasn't indeed covered by any other mod here as far as I know!

Yep, for sure. Skyrim's engine will only handle so much before it starts leading to memory issues, regardless of how much RAM and VRAM you have. Hence recommending people stick to 2k textures rather than 4k for regular gameplay. Those 22MBs soon add up if you're applying them to every plant and object in the game. A 2k texture uses a quarter of the VRAM that a 4k texture uses.

I just can tell you that I am using pretty every 4k texture that is available here and I have zero stability issues.

Don't wanna be a smartass. It is just my experience.

      Again, great retexture!

Then I'm crazy jealous I don't help myself by using Windows 10 though. Not even ENBoost can save me from Skyrim's 4GB limit...

      Thanks for the great retexture!

And yeah, as renthal mentioned before, Win7 is best way for modded Skyrim - 4GB VRAM limit is bug at Win 8/10, Win7 doesn't have it. I went back from 10 to 7 just because of Skyrim ^^

Thanks to the great druid Darkstorne for fixing these ugly trees. The NPC's in my game have started to migrate back into The Reach once again.
