This is probably because there are a couple of errors in this mod's "More Draconic Aspect - Wings.esp" file, specifically in the MGEF "DLC2DragonAspectWingsEffect" [xx00945D].
You can go in with xEdit and point the underlying errant records, which are the GLOB for "_Anton_RealFlying_fJumpHeightMin" and the KYWD for "_Anton_RealFlying_WingsPresense", to the corresponding masters from "Real Flying.esp". Based on the FormIDs, that is correct, and my guess is that would likely help ("_Anton_RealFlying_fJumpHeightMin" seems particularly applicable).
It should look something like this when you're done.
I know this is eons later, but an alternate solution is to recompile the "_Anton_RealFlying_ME_Maintenance.psc" script source with a hardcoded value for your jump height instead of using the "_Anton_RealFlying_fJumpHeightMin" variable (then you don't need any additional software, just a text editor and the Creation Kit).
Personally, I replaced calling instances of the variable with 100.0, as I found that to be a fair enough jump height.
Whether there's a tail or not is entirely based on the options you picked while installing. I've got this fully functional as wings with no tail, just like in the author's photos.
I recommend using Mod Organizer, and you should use the download links that use mod managers, rather than manual downloading.
Sir, you need to update your mod. This is not working if I use the optional colours you have provided as the wings esp in it removes the flying effect.
Oof, just in case anyone is looking for a solution to this, just copy the texture folder from the colors file and paste it into the original to overwrite the default textures OR install the colors file then delete the meshes and .esp from it.
For anyone still using this mod, and has OCD like I do, the wings on head thing was bugging me. However if you zoom in while in 3rd person you will see the wings are folded more in a downward vertical pose sticking into the character's back. They only look like they're coming out of the head from one or two angles.
So I realize looking at this thread that I'm not likely to get a response, but I've got this problem that without ADW the wings turn stiff. No animations at all. They're still there and Real Flying's controls work, just his problem of having great big cardboard wings on my back.
EDIT: Still plugging away, but for those folks who are mentioning the "Wings on Head" problem I wanted to confirm I'm having that issue as well, and also to illuminate a fact. If you look at the screenshots for the mod it appears that "Wings on Head" is the mod working as intended. This is mind-boggling to me, but there you go.
Really can't get this to work. Either the wings are attached to my head, or i can't fly. This mod should just tie the mutagens' effects to dragon aspect and that's it. Don't know it this mod will ever get updated.

I don't like tail

"I just tested and the mod works, ___tho i didn't test optional colors___."
What part of this makes sense?
