No, the latest version of CACO is using injected records for the fat, salt portions and other things. I made my own personal patch of just animal tallow and salt portions for now because I don't know what types of fats were being used before with each type of soap. I'm just returning to Oldrim and haven't used any of these mods in a long time, but yea this patch will need updated with override records to the new values for fats and salt, then placed into the list of required ingredients.
This patch seems to be bugged now, certain ingredients are now longer required, meaning you can create plain soap out of nothing. I don't know how to mod, but I am going to attempt to fix this myself.
thankd for this been need a compatabilty between Bathing in skyrim and CACO and the best part is then mod is merable with bathing in skyrim so yu can merge no hassle so no extra esp slot used.
Firstly, thanks for making this - didn't even realise that there were incompatablities. Could I make the recomendation/request that you use CACO's tallow rather than the raw animal fats? CACO's has you convert the fat to tallow at a cookpot for other recipes (weapon waxes and candles), and it would also make it just one set of recipes (as all the different animal fats convert to the same type of tallow). It would also save me having to have an additional Bathing in Skyrim patch for the Hunterborn-Campfires-CACO patch I'm working on (As Hunterborn ovewrites CACO's Bear fat, Wolf fat and Fox fat with its own versions, which can still be converted to CACO tallow with the patch).
I've taken the liberty of making the changes here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/fezekafnl8jdw29/CACO_Bathing%20in%20Skyrim.esp?dl=0 I've changed the original troll fat recipes to Animal Tallow, and the Superior Floral Soap's recipe to Troll Tallow, in line with CACO using Troll Tallow for the higher quality weapon waxes. The fat recipes were no longer necessary, so it has the added benefit of reducing clutter in the menu. Hope that is OK.
That's great, I guess I haven't played enough of Skyrim with CACO yet to know all the different ingredients and if it gets rid of the clutter that's all the better. I'll upload the new version soon. Thanks
You can actually turn off the salt conversion via MCM (to get vanilla ingredients back) FYI. I'm sure the new recipes for the animal fat are welcome, though.
Thanks for letting me know. Now I feel silly as it was the main reason I made this mod. I guess I'll check if the modified recipes pose a problem with the vanilla ingredients setting.
Edit: It seems the MCM setting enables you to recombine the salts into a salt pile temporarily so the recipes still work
Don't feel silly. I appreciate that CACO builds compatibility options like that into the MCM, but I certainly prefer it if an issue can be addressed without opening the MCM. Thanks for making this!
