Got the door to work! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSUHQNNrVyE Obviously I need to make it open wider, fix the collision (somehow) and get it 100% perfect before release but oh my god I it Don't ask how, just don't.
am i right in assuming you have completely abandoned this mod? cause i was wondering if it could work with special edition or be ported over some how unfortunately im not smart enough to port things or id of done it myself
I haven't thought about anything in a long time. Not since I got so involved with the Xenoverse community I have plans to update this at some point, but for now I don't foresee much work being done on this pack
I have a question to ask. I'm building a house mod for a friend of mine and used resources from basically every resource kit released on various sites. I put the mod into a 7zip archive but nothing, ONLY vanilla resources show up on his pc.
My question is do I need to include ALL THE MESHES AND TEXTURES including .esp's (that I'ved used) that're necessary for the resources to work in order for everything to show up on his pc? I really love the braziers and torch pillars by the way, I was just now searching for new braziers and something like the torch pillars you've made.
You won't need meshes you haven't used in your mod. For most resources, the .esp if just there for reference. Usually you would just move the "meshes" and "textures" folders into Skyrim/Data and then enter the meshes into the creation kit into your house mod. If you own nifskope you can also redirect the texture paths under BSShaderTextureSet to a custom folder (e.g. Skyrim/Data/Textures/My House), if not it has to be Skyrim/Data//Textures/Komodo as it is in the download, in the case of mine. If it doesn't show up it is likely because you added it from the esp, which would need the esp to be before yours in the load order, and for both to be activated. Sorry if his doesn't help
Thank you, I figured they were important since falmer ruins are so badly lit. There's a blue glowing fuel you can use for the torches that the changed falmer use. I think it goes really well with these.
That explains things a bit better. I'm still somewhat new to modding, and until now was certain that all I needed to do was just put my .esp file onto his pc and all the items I used would already be in it. Didn't dawn on me that I actually needed to include the meshes and textures, and a few .esp's that I've used for my mod for everything to be "good and ready".
This is gonna take a while to find out exactly which meshes/textures and required .esp's I've used and package them together before installing on his pc. Most likely for him I'm just going to install all the resources I've downloaded onto his pc anyway since he's taking the time to learn how to mod Skyrim, but for anything anything else I plan to release in the future, I'll make sure to take note of what goes where.
Hmm..... you know, I JUST noticed in the CK a section called "create archive" that lists all the resources I've used for my mod and packages it into a .bsa archive...... why didn't I see this before, (FACEPALM).
However, all of your pieces (at least the dozen I looked at) are missing the SERuinsWall01_em. environment map that the vanilla Snow Elf pieces use, so that don't match as well as they could. Is that deliberate, or just an oversight?
Thanks cad! You're linked on my page if you didn't read it
Not sure what materials I could use, they would've had the same as the nords do but according to bethesda they preferred to use marble, bronze, ivory and refined stone for construction. Which is already illogical. Blue cotton would look nice, as soon as I have that figured out I'll make them comfy.
for bed an chairs: well, I have some sketchups how I'd make SnowElf-Beds, I just need some time to create a model (have to do this one from scratch)...
and Yes, Material-Selection is a bit weired, but nothing you can not work with
instead of blue cotton i'll more likely use Hide from the deers found inside the forgotten valley (the one with the green stripes^^)...

Either way, thanks for the goodies.
Edit: should be fixed in 0.9.6
I've updated my mod. Thank you again so much for your resources <3
Despite I don't the fact snow-Elves sitting/laying on stone chairs/beds (cmon, they were a highly developed race), really good work^^
