Just thought I'd say I love these. Much prefer them to Rustic Windows and they work in SE without a problem. :)

Does this work with Skyrim Special Edition? Could this be re-uploaded to the Special Edition Nexus?

It's my understanding that SSE packages textures differently to the original game or something? Plus having it re-uploaded to the SSE nexus makes the mods I use for SSE easier to keep track of and re-download if/when I do fresh installs.

I heard the only compatibility issues are meshes and .inf, or whatever they're called, files. Textures should be fine.

I tested it in Skyrim Special Edition just to be sure. It does work as is with Skyrim Special Edition.

I took some screenshots. I did not bother taking a screetshot of every window type because a lot of them uses the same texture files.

Windows are a structural weakness. Geth do not use them.

Still without windows, shepard could get to the Heretic Station.
So there are still disadvantages of such a situation.

I would have been fine having to choose between Gritty and Smooth as a set, or color preferences as a set, but you went ahead and made each window fully optional.

    Good on you for that.

Look great, but is this mod even necessary if I'm already using Skyrim HD - 2K Textures?

No its not "necessary" since you already have high quality window textures from that mod but if you prefer these textures you should definetly go for it.

Hmm my Skyrim HD (v1.7) must be missing these for some reason then. As it has none of the windows files that this mod has.

I find that my Skyrim looks better when I handpick modded textures than when going with Bethesda's HD texture bundle. They were really slack on some things and anyways, they seem to define high def as 2k. There are 4k textures out and about and my computer seems to handle them fine. There's also 8k textures out there, but I'm a little more hesitant towards those. Seems like a lot of pull for something my eyes might not be able to register.
