It's my understanding that SSE packages textures differently to the original game or something? Plus having it re-uploaded to the SSE nexus makes the mods I use for SSE easier to keep track of and re-download if/when I do fresh installs.

I tested it in Skyrim Special Edition just to be sure. It does work as is with Skyrim Special Edition.
I took some screenshots. I did not bother taking a screetshot of every window type because a lot of them uses the same texture files.

I would have been fine having to choose between Gritty and Smooth as a set, or color preferences as a set, but you went ahead and made each window fully optional.
No its not "necessary" since you already have high quality window textures from that mod but if you prefer these textures you should definetly go for it.
I find that my Skyrim looks better when I handpick modded textures than when going with Bethesda's HD texture bundle. They were really slack on some things and anyways, they seem to define high def as 2k. There are 4k textures out and about and my computer seems to handle them fine. There's also 8k textures out there, but I'm a little more hesitant towards those. Seems like a lot of pull for something my eyes might not be able to register.
