Tried the plant-less version, was expecting fewer. Well it's not so bad. Great little place otherwise, nice entrance too along with the interior, nice coffin bonus, I got no real complaints. Maybe a more interesting location like the rocks behind the Pelagia farm, a small wine rack, chair's a little close to the fireplace considering the vampire vulnerability.
Great job on this home. I love every bit of it! It's small, simple and beautiful. You get one big endorse from me sir. Are their any more versions on the way?
Heh, I'm actually female. Thank you though. At some point I'll probably get around to doing a rendition that was closer to what I originally dreamed of, though there will be just a few things changed around, since this is pretty close to it so far.
This is an excellent home for my non-Dragonborn Vampire Assassin character. I like the immersion aspect that comes with him living in a more remote and smaller location from which to operate from and I also like the inclusion of a bed as well as a coffin for mortal followers like in my case Eola for more immersion. Thank you for sharing this. I think this will remain in my mod list permanently along with your excellent Black Vampire Armour set that as I wrote in my post on your Armours page my character is still wearing in over a year!. Great work Faelrin and thanks again.
I had a feeling that room/extra bed would come in handy for those with followers. The bed was actually for my werewolf character, who incidentally is my main character's follower a lot of the time (when I'm not playing as him that is). Though it can also serve mortal (or werewolf) player characters, and the coffin for vampires followers as well (such as Serana or some other custom follower). Either way works I guess. Neat that you're still enjoying my vampire armor recolor thing after so long as well.
Love to see my resources in use, and seeing people who've found help in my tutorials. Agree with Jokerine it looks a bit dark (the lighting could use some TLC) but I love the layout!
Yeah it is rather dark (only part of that is intended). I probably will play around with the lighting more, especially in the bedrooms since those are the darkest. Glad you like it though. I'll probably add your red plants to the exterior to liven it up a little bit. Really should have done that before I finished working on it, but didn't think of that until after. Might even make use of it on the walls too if its possible. They're really plain at the moment.
I really like the idea of this; I think I'm going to use this for my vampire thief character, as she's a vampire but not REALLY deep into the vampire stuff like the Volkihar vampires and the Vampire Lord stuff, so this looks like something that would suit her. However, I wanted to take a look at it in the Creation Kit, and as I suspected there are a lot of misc items as static items (like the silver goblets and the blood potion on the table in front of the fire). This is something I really don't care for that a lot of house mods are doing nowadays, and it really breaks immersion for me that I can't pick this stuff up However when I try to open the cell in the Creation Kit, the CK crashes. I have no idea why it does that...
It MAY be a problem on my end, so I'll try to verify and get back to you on this. Cheers for making this, by the way
Update: Yeah, it was a problem on my part Got it working now.
Things like the wine, the goblet, and blood potion could be swapped for their item versions (basically whatever item that had havok that I copied as a static, should be free game to be replaced), anything else might need their meshes altered to allow havok and made into a misc item (the flower arrangements, the plate with the ox leg). Ultimately the reason I use statics is because I don't like things being easily knocked down, and because I won't be taking the stuff anyways (not even the blood potion), since I intended it to be a decoration. But yeah if people really want the havok versions back, they're free to make personal edits. A quick cntrl f search and replace should fix it fast, while keeping everything in place.
Congrats on the release! The pictures are a bit dark so it's a bit hard to see, but I guess that's how you intended it - I am blind as a mole, after all
