It may actually work as is. I don't have the right save to test it out myself yet, but since it is just script, it may work without needing to update it.
Steam were nice enough to give me the special edition for free. It just appeared in my Steam library. Busy playing Fallout 4 right now but I would expect this mod to still work as it is just a simple script.
I still playing Fallout 4 right now but I will attempt to see if this is compatible with SSE and the Arthmoor patch.
If you could make an XB1 version aswell I would be forever grateful! Shouldn't be that different from a PC version i think. Trying to learn the CK makes my head hurt
I really do appreciate what you accomplished with this mod. However, I'm still P.O. about stealing from the poor and never stealing from the rich or evil or both. I can't believe the Dev's made the game so we were stealing every valuable item from the poor, the only item that these families could verify their heritage. Totally f'n stupid on their part! Maybe I watched Robin Hood to often as a child..
No... it's actually not. This mod reduces the required number of quests in order to have all the decorations added. It does not reduce the number of quests required to become guild master. You still have to do the normal 5 per city to get the city influence quests. But look at it this way; when you're done with those, you're only 5 jobs away from finishing the interior decoration.
I see, in my mind, like others, the tedious part of the thieves guild quest line is the sheer number of quests required to get guild master - especially compared to other guilds. The show-casing of decorations was a "nice to have" but didn't really make the quest-line "less tedious" as the name would imply.
Just wanted to drop by and say that this mod, along with All Thieves Guild Jobs Concurrently, is the best thing done to the Thieves Guild ever. Doing only 25 jobs instead of 125 is so much better and yet still rewarding in the end. Thanks!
Does anyone knows how to edit the parameters of this script file (hexa editing or else)? I have "All Thieves Guild Jobs Concurrently" and thus 25 jobs to reach full decorations is a bit quick to me. So i'd like to personnalize the levelling numbers that unlock each decoration. thanks
Something weird is going on. I have this mod with localized thieves guild jobs. I completed 4 jobs in windhelm, then accepted 2 more. When I completed the 5th, I couldn't turn in the 6th until I completed the special job. That's find with me. However, now for Windhelm, I got 6 jobs completed and no "special" job yet. I went on to 8 jobs and no special job yet.
At the same time, the 2nd part of the Blood on Ice quest for windhelm started. I wonder if it interfered...?
Edit 2:
Ended up just force starting the special jobs through the console, and then doing random jobs til I hit 25 and got all the goods.
Following the guide "TES5Edit merged patch" Didn't seem to have helped, because this mod IS NOT A PLUGIN. Its just a .pex file.
Not sure how to get it to trigger the job for winterhold. I'll keep playing around with it. Talking to vex or delvin doesn't trigger it. Going to uninstall Localized Thieves Guild Jobs.
Edit: After 4 jobs in windhelm, I uninstalled Localized Thieves Guild Jobs. I used Save Tool to clean orphaned scripts out. Then I loaded my save, talked to Vex. At first she gave me a job in Riften. I reloaded, talked to her again. Got a job in Windhelm. Did the final 5th job, then went to talk to Vex again. No special job. Talked to Delvin instead, and he spoke about the special job right away.
Might just re-install Localized Thieves Guild Jobs right before each special job. Both of these mods are awesome, but Less Tedious Thieves Guild is the higher priority for me. Wish they were compatible... maybe these two mod authors can chat and work something out.
Just about to walk into Riften and though, hey any new mods for that f8cken TG grind, and here we are!! I would dl a mod that has me doing even less...BTW I have done the 125 on PS3...it well it left me scarred.
It wasn't until today when I found this mod.....all those hours wasted. Doing those 125 jobs over and over again when I made a new character would always chew the soul right out of me.
