I've been using your mod and endorsed it a while ago, but I am unsure whether I should upgrade to the new beta. Pardon my ignorance, but what does "Removes the falling leaves activate box from the world space" mean?
Skyrim has hundreds of large invisible box shaped objects that when walked in would activate the falling leaves. Unlike my 1st mod which only disables the effect, this optional BETA version removes those box's from the vanilla world space so it's less for your pc to render/run in the background which might help to boost performance along side my 1st mod. Considering how simple the mod is It should not cause any CTD's, invalid game saves & etc. but I have not tested it for any of these either.
That is a really old mod...to bad I did not know it existed before making this mod. lol I'm surprised a mod like that is not in the top 100 must have mods?
Would this be the mod? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/6387/? As the linked mod has an optional version that is pretty identical to zaczombie's, I do not think Skyrim Performance PLUS disables it from any DLCs. Then again, I'm not sure if the DLCs use new animations for falling leaves or not.
I installed the mod using NMM and opened a days old save. Travelled to Riften and walked around the forest. In 5 minutes, I CTD'd. Mod works and removes the leaves, and FPS seemed smoother, expect for the random CTD. I haven't had time to test it extensively, but for now, I uninstalled and removed it from my NMM list. I'll keep tracking it. After removing the mod and starting the game again, I walked around the Rift for 20 minutes, same places as before, even killed a Giant, and got into some battels and hunted, no problem. The leaves were falling around me again, and FPS seemed a little lower, but it was stable.
It could very well be unrelated but I can't test it more at the moment. Thanks for the effort.
Every now and then I will get a random CTD but I've gotten them even before I had this mod installed, The elder Scrolls games have always had hiccups and they tend to get worse the more you add on to the games. Even though I tested it, I'm not saying that it's not impossible for my mod to cause a CTD.

Endorsed! Kudos to you @zaczombie Thank you very much man!
PS: Can someone tell me if the latest Beta version of this mod works better than V1.2?
