I am not currently supporting Arissa. This does not mean that she is completely free of all issues or is compatible with every feature of every mod (no comparatively complex mod is), but it does mean that all known major bugs related to her behavior, her quests, her dialogue, and her follower capabilities have been resolved and she has reached a point where I am comfortable stepping away for the time being.

I am working on Frostfall, Last Seed, Campfire, and Art of the Catch and probably will be exclusively working on those until the end of this year (2015).

The offer is open to fix known bugs yourself and upload a fix, or, send me the fix and I will review it and integrate it into the mod and push it as a new update. I simply don't have the time right now to continue to support the mod now that I'm working on my core mods again.

Thank you for your understanding and your support of Arissa since her debut; we couldn't have taken her as far as she's come without your feedback and suggestions.

Anybody ported her to SSE and found a way to fix the "What do you know about this place?" dialogue?
When i ask her the question, nothing happens.

Then again i think that was already an issue with the Oldrim version.

+1 Though we probably can't hope for an update before SKSE debuts (mid-March, at earliest).

Agreed. Please consider porting her over to Skyrim SE. She is the best follower mod that is on the Nexus. I miss not being able to use her.

"It does not require SKSE. "

Maybe not, but it does require "something" for it to work in SE. Game won't even load with the oldrim version. I'm guessing Chesko will port her eventually but probably is more interested in Last Seed at the moment. She's my favorite follower so I do miss her.

Khumak, Arissa works fine in SSE. The reason why SSE didn't load is because you didn't unpack your BSA file. SSE uses a different BSA format than regular Skyrim.

All you need to do is unpack the old BSA and run it through SSE's CK and pack it back up in SSE's BA2 file system and it should work just fine, or you could try it with loose files.

Thanks. She's working for me now in SE.

Apparently I repacked it wrong but it works with loose files. Will have to mess with repacking again sometime. My repacked version has a dark head with no hair and some parts of her clothing glowing purple. Loose files version looks normal.

Also a note about the mesh files. The oldrim meshes are working fine for me. Oddly enough when I tried converting them with nif optimizer the game would no longer load so I'll just keep using the loose oldrim files in SE until someone who knows what they're doing converts it. I'm also using the oldrim Arissa CBBE customizer in SE and that is working as well (just have to remember to use the default hair or she will have a neck seam gap).

Thank you for posting this! I tried porting her and did it wrong (in such a way that I can't delete or overwrite the wrongly packages port, only deactivate it). Seeing this post I tried just using loose files, and it works!

Quite doubtful as back when paid mods first hit the steam workshop chesko pulled her instantly from the nexus, stripped out all of the external (High quality bodies, hairs, facial assets, armor, etc) and had her up on Steam day one. After the fallout he didn't really say much and eventually reuploaded her to steam... But she kinda got beaten by the ugly stick a few hundred times compared to her previous iterations which was a shame because not only was she one of the most fleshed out companions at the time (Sophia being the only other real contender back then) but was quite pleasant to have as a companion as she wasn't over the top nor too serious and quite easy on the eyes. (Thankfully I had her old revisions so doing a quick face lift wasn't too difficult)

Then again... stranger things have happened >.>

Sorry for the late reply, Chesko pulled her younger iterations for various reasons and I'm not willing to redistribute it out of respect for the authors. I can however point you to something you may or may not find even more appealing.

NPC Visual Transfer Tool It pretty much automated everything I did by hand without any of the learning curve/hiccups I made during the process. It essential allows you to replace ANY NPC with another NPC's appearance. Turning Heimsker into a Mudcrab was quite awesome but you can pretty much take any of those stunning companions with zero depth and facelift them onto more compelling companions. I personally scrapped all the effort I made rewinding the clock on Arissa's appearance and used one of Nikita's (Arissa's Voice Actor) customized companions as a "Replacer"

(As a side note: Getting her previously younger look to work with her current version takes a fair amount of effort due to directory and asset name changes... NOPE these hair files DO NOT LIKE EACH OTHER @[email protected])

@CZukoff Whoa. Whoa. You respect the wishes of the mod author? What kind of gamer are you? That's like saying you don't understand why fat people won't stop eating candy. Disrespecting game developers and mod makers is like a built-in feature. :)

I only wanted to add a bit more color to her face not give her the complete Jenny Jones makeover. I'll see if I can touch her up manually. Thanks anyway though.

hah glad to see others using Transfer Tool. that thing is amazing. i've been "casting" roles in my game like actors in a movie lol. really is a must have for mods w/ characters that have distinctive personalities like 3DNPC. i think this video uses Transfer on some characters. the imperial lady captain at the start. about 2:45...

Is Arissa supposed to change default outfits after certain quests? I'm completed the Thieves questline (twilight speculter-whatever) and now she is dressed in nightinggale armor and has a NG bow. This was the second time she'd done this. I checked her trade inventory and there was no armor or bow there, so it appears she moved this to her protected outfit inventory (still have yet to confirm). Was this by design? If so, are there anymore quests that change her default outfit?

So the big problem I see with this mod is from a roleplaying perspective.

Unless your character is some sort of masochist, why would they ever help or want to travel with her after she knocks them out and robs them? Purely from an in-character role-playing perspective, why would you want to do anything but either kill her or hand her to the guards?

Now, good on you for offering the chance to kill her. Certainly, that's the only option I could ever imagine choosing. But why isn't there an option to turn her over to the guards? In the part where she's surrounded by guards (just after she knocks you out and robs you), when you get there, the only option is to cover for her. Why is there not an option to tell the guard "Thank Stendarr you're here! That *censored* lured me out of town, then knocked me out and robbed me! Then taunted me about it! Arrest her!"?

I mean, it's fine having the option to cover for her, but the problem is that that's the only option. At the part with the guards, when the guard asks if you're alright, your only option given is to do the "no it's okay I'm fine I just ran into a doorknob she's really a good person she just gets upset sometimes really it's my fault for not having dinner ready in time" routine. It almost seems like some sort of weird LoversLab fetish mod or something.

I mean, don't get me wrong, the mod seems competent and well made. I guess it's just not for me since I don't generally play masochists or abused spouses.

Remember, Arissa is a rogue. And rogues in sword and sorcery games usually have a dubious background, hence the term "rogue." At least Arissa only knocks you out to rob you and doesn't try to kill you. (By contrast, Zevran , a rogue assassin in Dragon Age Origins, is actually trying to kill the PC when they first meet.) When you Role-Play, different PCs will do different things based on their race and background and how you headcanon their biography. Also, your PC will take his current situation into account. With only one companion at a time, does he need the extra help? Does he need a rogue?

I just installed Arissa. For the sake of seeing what would happen, my PC did opt to kill her after getting her released from the Guard. I, of course, felt bad about it and went back to the last save. The voice acting is well-done and Arissa is a lot more colorful and fleshed out than the vanilla PCs, including those you can take as companions. I'd say try her out. If you don't care for her, just send her away.

Is it realistic for Tyrion to spare someone's life? Why would he do that? Easy. He can benefit from it. You can act on an impulse and kill her for hurting your ego or try to hire somebody that actually was smart enough to lure the mighty dragonborn into a trap and get away with it. If you are travelling alone and need a companion she is a fine one. A skilled warrior and thief. A lot of good relationships in storytelling start with friction and, as Folgore metioned, other characters in other RPGs had a worse entrance.

Arissa has stellar voice acting and comments on Skyrim's quests. Granted, the idea was to develop her even further but what is there is top notch.
