Hey everyone. I've decided to leave the Skyrim modding scene.
If anyone wants to take over one or all of my mods, please let me know by private message (I get email notified).
Otherwise, all of my mods are distributed with full source code in the BSA file, so feel free to alter them as you wish.

Attention: Some users who have upgraded are experiencing strange behavior. This is caused by remnants of older versions of JSL.

To make sure you have no elements from previous versions of JSL:
    1. Uninstall previous versions of the mod from your computer.
    2. Start your game, accept the warning for missing dependencies, and create a new save.
    3. Use a saved game cleaner, such as this one, to remove all scripts and objects beginning with JaxonzSmartLooter. Save and create a backup.
    4. Load the modified save game and save it again.
    5. Install the new version of JSL and enable it.
    6. Start Skyrim and continue.

I started a new game with 4.1 and a few hours into it the MCM for JSL has vanished completely. I've tried reloading and restarting and the menu still doesnt reappear. I do have your MCM kicker installed.

Edit: Started another new playthrough (still tweaking mods for my Healer Mage) and now a few hours in the MCM menu is there, but not saving any changes. I've uploaded a the Papyrus log to showing me logging in, trying to change something in the MCM then logging out. I only see two lines from JSL but one of them is saying that it cant find DynamicLoot.esm which *is* installed. Another thing of note is that JSL didnt generate a Script_JaxonzSmartLooterMCM.# corresponding to the Papyrus.0
    2. Hey man, you're not leaving the modding scene as a whole, are you? I really liked your mods.

I used this mod for years, and it's ideal for the task.  Never had issue one.

Some weeks ago I had to reinstall Skyrim, and now there is an issue.  Even when properly set up, JSL refuses to loot weapons that have been "dropped".  The weapons in question show up in the corpse's inventory, but if they also appear on the ground beside them, JSL will ignore them.  I can loot them manually, but that sorta defeats the purpose.

I know Jax is long gone, but has anyone else run across this behavior?

there is an option in the advanced section to forget dropped items.

      Better late then never.
I actually sorted a solution, using SkyTweak.  There's a setting to have dead NPCs not drop thier arms; the fact that said weapons were no longer actually in inventory was why JSL was not looting them!

Anyone know if I'll still get gems if I enable the faster mining option?

Yes. But please don't use this mod any more.

When Jaxonz left, there were a couple of major problems she hadn't fixed yet, so I did. Mine still isn't perfect yet, but it's a lot better. I try to polish it up more when I find time.

Hmm I rather not have items being auto added to MY inventory, but I would be really interested if I can make that happen to my followers.
Is there a option that enables followers to loot stuff automatically?

Is it possible to get either the original mod author, or whomever is taking over this mod to make a SSE version???

It is! So...? I'd much rather use the one and only original Smart Looter than Auto Loot.

"Do Not Play Without This Mod!
Unless you enjoy the tedium or manually searching every container and fallen foe for valuable items!"...

...THAT's the point of RPG, dear fellow. What you're playing is a "fast-Diablo-like" style, PlayStation-like. That's not the real RPGs.

If you are looking for "real" RPG's, then what are you doing on a Skyrim mod website?

Flawless. Does just what it says on the box. Pleanty of configuration options, no performance hits, and thus far no crashes due to looting. Works with werewolf form, and I'm gonna guess vamp too. This one's a keeper. Thank you.

At first it was nice, but the speed looting I do anyways is already fast enough. It would be too much of a pain to convert to an auto-loot system.
