Version 3.45 mainly brings a cool new feature to the LE version: the option to overwrite custom bodies/textures bundled with follower mods and NPC overhauls. It is now possible to use EBD provided textures/bodies instead.
Many thanks to all the users which help out here and support others asking questions. Your help is highly appreciated.
If you are having crashes when using EBD's texture or headpart features then use SSME: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50305/? Those crashes are not caused by EBD but by Skyrim's flawed memory management. This is fixed by SSME or SKSE 1.7.0 (with an appropriate ini file).
If the patcher crashes complaining about not enough heap space use this batch file. Thank you jude696! See this post by OracleSilencer for a how-to on the batch file with Mod Organizer. Note that if you are using Mod Organizer 2(which I'd recommend) you should select the 64 bit version of java!
If you want to post a bug I need, in most cases, the contents of the files "EBD Summary.txt" and "=--Debug Overview--=.txt" found in "SkyProc Patchers/EBD/SkyProcDebug". Please paste them on some site like pastebin.com and then post the link here.
Piranha91 has created zEBD! This patcher aims to recreate EBD's features via zEdit. While not all of EBD's features are ported yet, the texture feature is there and much more flexible than what EBD offers. Also patching times in zEdit are much faster.
Love the mod. Always has.I can't play Skyrim without it.
THere is one thing I wonder if anyone has come across I've installed Botox for skyrim (new facegeom files for NPCs). It seems to go nice with EBD at first, but if NPCs go through load doors then they revert back to vanilla face. It seems that EBD is skipping the new facegeom file. To get it back you have to start another savegame, and then reload back to the save you use. Then the Botox head will be back again.
At first I thought it could be because Botox load all facegeom files into a BSA, so I did some testing and unpacked a few NPC botox files from the BSA and pasted them as loose files instead. This didn't seem to work though.
I'm wondering if anyone has experienced something similar and if you did something that fixed it.
Is there a workaround that doesn't require java 8? I started the process but when making account they wanted alot of personal information such as workplace which is a red flag for me.
I am not sure if the patcher works for me. I do not get the correctly named esp in the correct (data) folder, instead I get the following in my overwrite folder:
The fact that the output is named tmp.esp makes me think that the patcher was aborted for some reason, however I never receive any error messages, and the Debug Overview file does not log any errors when exporting, so I am a bit confused.
The mod doesn't work. There is no esp in the launcher (it's not even in the mod folder). Read Me is completely empty. Java throws an error.
I'm sorry... May's problem was that "Skyrim" was installed in "Program Files"))). Move the game to another location, otherwise "java" will not be able to find the path! The mod works thanks!
MOD ORGANIZER USERS - HOW TO PROPERLY SET UP EBD *WITH* THE MORE HEAP BAT FILE
For users who have been encountering the memory crash issue when using the patcher, this is the correct way to configure EBD in MO. Jude696's "More Heap" bat file is missing the java directory for MO to know where the "Javaw.exe" program is located. Here's the fix:
1. Install EBD as you normally would in the left pane of MO (be sure to enable the checkbox for the mod)
2. Navigate to the EBD.jar location in your MO directory: ...\Mod Organizer\mods\EBD - EveryBodys Different - Skyproc patcher\SkyProc Patchers\EBD (or whatever you named EBD in MO)
4. Right-click blank area in folder and create a new text document
5. Name the text document "EBD_MoreHeap.bat" (yes, replace the whole file name, including the .txt extension***)
6. Right-click "EBD_MoreHeap.bat" and select "Edit"
7. Copy and paste the following, including all of the quotations: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_161\bin\javaw.exe" -Xmx1024m -jar "EBD.jar" "-NOSTREAM"
NOTE: Java's installation directory may be different for your computer. Correct it if necessary. If so, ensure that you are using the 32-bit version of Java which will be in the "Java\jre1.8.0_161\bin" folder (NOT Java\bin). MO can only run 32bit executables.
8. Add EBD as a MO executable
Click the drop-down menu beside the "RUN" button on the right-hand side of MO
Select "<Edit...>"
In the title box, type "EBD" (or whatever you want to name the executable)
In the binary box, press the browse button and navigate to the "EBD_MoreHeap.bat" file you just created and select it
In the Start in box, press the browse button and navigate to same folder as in the last step which contains "EBD.jar" and "EBD_MoreHeap.bat" and select that folder
Leave the arguments box blank
Click the Add button and close the Executables menuâ
9. Now add your texture/mesh packs below EBD
10. Ensure that your overwrite folder in MO is empty (some mods generate logs and other miscellaneous data in there. Just delete it all or move it elsewhere)
11. Now you can run EBD through MO in the list of executables and not encounter memory issues
12. Once you have configured EBD to your liking, run the patcher
13. Upon completion, right-click your overwrite folder on the very bottom of MO's left pane and select "Create Mod..."
14. Name the mod something like "EBD Patcher Output"
15. Enable the mod by ticking the checkbox and place under your EBD texture/mesh add-ons
16. Run LOOT and when its finished, make sure that "Everybody's Different.esp" is on the very bottom of your load order (especially if you enabled the "make all esps in load order masters" option in the patcher"
17. Run the TES5Edit background loader for good measure to see if there are any errors present
18. Run Skyrim through SKSE
I have tested this myself and the patcher worked its magic flawlessly. In-game, I traveled to Whiterun and immediately noticed diverse NPCs. This mod is one of the most amazing creations on the nexus. Many thanks to MongoMonk and everyone else who had a hand in making this mod. Also, thanks jude696 for the memory fix. I will re-post this in the "More Heap Space for EBD" mod's forum as well. Here's to hoping this helps someone out there. I was stumped for a good while before figuring out a workaround. Please read all of the documentation provided with EBD for the full installation and tutorial. It is very thorough. Just plug these steps in when setting up EBD in MO. Happy modding!
*** If you cannot see the extension while renaming the text file, go to Tools -> Folder Options... -> View tab in the explorer window and de-select "Hide extensions for known file types".
For some reason, I'm unable to open the mod. It gives me an error message reading "There was an exception thrown during program execution: 'skyproc.exceptions.BadMod: Ran into an exception, check SPGlobal.logs for more details.'" Any idea what I did wrong? I'm new to modding and far from a technology whiz. I'm just switching over to mod organizer from nexus mod manager, if that influences anything.
Hi, I've been getting a BadMod error when I launch, I launch from the right folder (the skyrim data folder and not the vortex folder)
When I went into the Debug Overview file it seemed to say this was the issue: "Message: Could not get CaranthirTowerReborn.bsa. Strings files or ini changes in it will not be availible."
https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76231 This is the mod in question. I don't particularly want to delete the mod so if it could be resolved in some other way that would be fantastic but if not let me know.

Download example TexturePacks here
Java 8 is REQUIRED. Meaning that without it EBD won't even start anymore. Get it here

I have the same problem. I do not what could cause it. I've installed it through MO and followed the instalation guidlines a few pages back
