Blazefire Saber v1.0

Requirements:
Vanilla Skyrim. If you experience texture issues, install SKSE. I don't see a reason why one wouldn't have it already.

Installation:
Extract to your primary "Skyrim" directory. Or just use NMM and activate it. That works too.

Description:
Lightning's Blazefire Saber from Final Fantasy XIII, totally not lore friendly. I procured the mod from Snezko, who no longer supports the mod, or mods for Skyrim anymore. That said, he gave me permission to edit and "update" the mod as I see fit, and I think I've improved on it a little.

Improvements are...

BOSS no longer finds a conflict with the mod having been created prior to the Creation Kit, and so doesn't suggest you delete it. This may solve some compatibility issues.

Weapon no longer requires Daedric Smithing perk to create. This is so that those who are playing with another mod which I'll put under recommended mods below can "roleplay" a little better. As the amount of Final Fantasy weapons related to Lightning are pretty limited, obviously you want something you can use for a good period of time.

Weapon now has a description attached to it that features two of the engravings on the sword. This means I'm intending to add a little lore at some point.

As I said before, the mod was originally made by anjinewabe, who gave it to Snezko, who gave me permission to edit it and reup it as I see fit with all the support I can possibly provide for my very first mod. Graphic resources come from cptlee. Credit will be placed where credit is due

Future Plans:
I mentioned I wanted to do some lore. That may be as simple as creating a book or three, or maybe a quest line to explain how a futuristic gunblade makes an appearance in Skyrim, and why the gun barrel doesn't work.

I'll be looking into ways to make the Blazefire Saber shoot something. I don't know how this can be done, or if it can be done, but I'll certainly try it. Maybe I can use other mods that offer swords that shoot beams as a reference to code. Maybe I discover it myself. Maybe I don't and you stay happy with what you've got.

I wanted to make the sword level with the player so that it remains a viable weapon from beginning to end. If I can do this, I might place it somewhere near Helgen so starter characters get get by, and later readd Daedric Smithing as a requirement to craft it later, with a schematic. For lore reasons. I don't know how to do this yet, or if it can be done, but I'll still attempt at it. I could always make variations of the same weapon with heightened power that require different materials to craft, ala Final Fantasy XIII, and that looks to be the best way to go.

I'm also open to suggestions and assistance.

You can get either version of the mod, but if you're planning on roleplaying you should just get the main version and use it. I don't provide support for the mod, so don't ask me.
