Blazefire Saber is now upgradable the same way as in Final Fantasy XIII at a forge. Damage values still undergoing testing. If the weapon is found to be too overpowered for the cost to make, it will be adjusted. Blazefire Saber becomes Flamberge, and Flamberge becomes Omega weapon. Each weapon can be tempered at a grindstone with proper materials.
Main File Q/A:
Can the weapon be created at a forge? Yes. The weapons do not require you to have any smithing perks, so it's perfect for someone who's roleplaying a character who would use this sword (in any condition) such as Lightning.
I can't find the first journal! Where is it? You can find the first journal in Ivarstead's Vilemyr Inn in the main room on one of the tables. Due to havok, it might actually be on the floor. With a little searching, you will find it. If not, you can still just forge the weapon, but the books do exist, and they do work. I've tested these multiple times on different characters, after different world events.
Why do the weapons look the same? I'm not good at modeling or recoloring. I lack the necessary software, besides. If you feel you can make the models for me, I can update the mod and include you in the credits for your work. And thank you profusely. Until such time as I can learn myself...Good luck.
Are you planning to make an actual quest for this? Yeah, actually I am. Problem is, I don't know where to begin yet. I know there's tutorials and I know it's probably very simple, but lack of time in my personal life makes updates uncommon already.
Where did you get Lightning's clothes? Will you include those? First let me say that they aren't mine to include, and I haven't yet asked if I can upload them. The clothes are bug free, relatively, so I don't have to do much to be able to include them when given permission. I don't want to put up anything buggy.
Why are you doing this? Modding, you mean? Because it seems fun. It's a gateway for my creativity, even if I'm not doing anything original yet. That's to come.
The mod has now cleared testing phases and has moved on to being fully playable. I'm still searching for someone to make textures for me, if you can do this then please, by all means, message me and we can work at it together. As I said before, I lack the software/time/ability to do anything of the kind, so it would be awesome to have a helping hand. Without further ado...The new to-do list.
1. Create textures for the Flamberge and Omega Weapon. 2. Add Lightning's clothing from FFXIII and FFXIII-2. 3. Make a quest for finding the weapon. 4. ???
The mod's come a pretty long way for me, and I'm hoping to get down to doing some other nice stuff soon. I might begin my next mod making a house. That sounds like a fun thing to try.
I Love the Blazefire Saber so much by far my FAVORITE Final Fantasy Weapon. Is it possible to convert this mod to SEE for Xblock and PC, Maybe even a convertable version of the Blazefire Saber at least for Sheathing and unsheathing?
Maybe even to make it even more awesome to add her Traditional Guardian Corps. Uniform from FFXIII WITH her Weapon Holster included. most mods never include her weapons holster on her lower back.
Sorry that this comes so late. My computer died, so I had to spend time building a new one. I could try but it would likely end up being a different weapon entirely. I'm only recently getting back, so this might be a long time coming.
Include the clothing. Please. I used sculpting mod to make a perfect lightning face, and a custom animation pack. If you give the armor, my lightning would look perfect. PLEASE GIVE THE ARMORRRRRRRRRRR ))))))))))
Thanks for the images you've sent in. They all look way better than mine. Keep them coming. As an update on what I'm doing, I'm currently working on a dungeon and quest mod with yet another custom sword. This one will be much more lore friendly, though.
First of all I'd like to say great work on the Blazefire, I'm seriously considering putting it in my game! Secondly, I was going to ask about the badass armor with the face-shoulders, but now I know it's Tera I'm seriously considering putting that set in too! God I love Nexus Skyrim Mods and the talented people behind them! Cheers,
Thank you for your feedback. It means a lot to know you like it! If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to PM them or post them here. I'm getting back to work on this mod, working more on the lore aspect, but fine tuning the sword to make it more powerful/weaker is always necessary.
If you know what your enchantments are, does it truly matter? Then again, since this is my first mod (still learning) I'm curious where else I could put it. There's plenty of weapon mods out there with descriptions that won't allow your enchantment to show, so I'm figuring there's not any other way...But as I said, new to this. Any information is helpful.
I used nexus mod manager to install the main version, and i went to ivarstead to find the journal but i could never find it, nor was i able to find it available for forging and i had leveled my forging all the way up to daedric. I also tried to use the stand-alone file and neither of them worked. Help?
Weird. It's working for me, and nobody else seems to be having that issue. I'll look into it, but I'd suggest reinstalling. Don't use both. They're not meant to be used together. When you open the console, type help blazefire and see if it shows you the sword. There should be three different ID's, but if they even appear you know the sword exists at the very least, and I'll look into the forge issue and put the book in another spot later on. Please get back to me on this.
It's in a cave near Ivarstead. To be more specific, search the inn in Ivarstead for a journal to start you off. If you do a any radiant quests in Ivarstead or anywhere else, you should be able to end up in the same cave you'll find the sword at with virtually no help whatsoever.
Thanks. Sorry about the lack of updates, I've been attempting to move into my new house where I'll actually have access to a good connection and can actually update this more. I still have a few things I need to add in.
As for Lightning's clothes from FFXIII, I do have them as seen in one of my screenshots. I don't think my one female test character has ever had problems on a mount with her, and BOSS doesn't say anything's wrong with it, but I'll test it and maybe include it. It's not mine, after all, and I can't find the owner of the file. But I suppose with a proper warning that I can't locate the owner and if mentioned, the owner would be credited, I could possibly put it up.

Anyway Thank You!<3
My guy is wearing one of the TERA armors from the set you can find on here somewhere. It's pretty huge.

But you can forge it, if you choose.
Nice to see this getting updated - I really am glad ^_^ BOSS kept warning me about the old one Q_Q
