    A NOTE FROM SCARLA:
I am no longer updating or supporting this mod. I encourage people to help each other in the comments if need be. You have my permission to modify, translate, make patches, whatever.

    VERSION 1.5:
I've made lots of little tweaks to the village. Check the CHANGES tab for a full list.

Chimneys have been removed and are included in Farmhouse Chimneys instead. This will allow you to choose the style of chimney you prefer.

The new installer includes both the protected and standard versions of the mod, as well as the optional high res facegen for my Total Character Makeover mod and several new patches (full list below).

    PATCHES:
You can still find patches for Moon and Star and Anna NPCs on their respective mod pages. Thanks to GanXingba and Anundiel for making those!

Enhanced Landscapes now includes Aurora Village in its ini file. No patch needed!

Included in the installer are patches for the following mods:
Holidays - now Aurora will celebrate holidays just like vanilla towns
Real Shelter - take shelter under rooftops in Aurora
RS Children Overhaul - village kids don't look weird with this mod installed anymore

    FAQ:
Q: Can you make a patch for Undeath?
A: I would need to move my entire village. It would be almost as much work as creating a new village from scratch. I'm sorry, it's just not going to happen.

Q: How close is the village to Lakeview Manor?
A: It's a short walk away, but not close enough to conflict with Lakeview Manor mods.

Q: How do I find the key for the house?
A: The house's current owner is hiding out somewhere in the village. If you haven't found him, you haven't explored the whole village. :)

I realize that this question might be years too late....but are all the containers in the lakeside cottage home safe?

Just added as moving to Mammoth Manor, another good mod. This gives a relatively nearby town to get supplies. Well done - all the NPCs so far are functional, nice to have some nearby training. Lovely spot by the lake. No issues so far. Vendors have a good selection, not OP but varied. BTW Prismatic did indeed sell me potions.

I found another great Mod that works well with this one called "Hroldan Nightgate and Sawmill Villages" https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40970?tab=description

The extension of Half Moon Mill to a Village is so big that it looks likes a neighbor Village or another quarter of an bigger City...its just 12metres(guessed) space between them.
Combined i think its bigger than Falkenreath the Capitalcity itself.

This is no longer true because the author of the mod "Hroldan Nightgate and Sawmill Villages" made some changes. Now the clipping between these 2 mods is horrible. Do NOT do it!

Hello! I read through the comments donw below, and it appears that this mod will work fine with SSE. Still, I have some questions:

    1) Does this include the RS Children patch? Will the patch work with SSE?

    2) Does this mean that you can simply drag the content of this mod into the data folder of the SSE version Skyrim and begin playing right away? No additional steps of converting or anything?

[quote=indola]I really miss having this mod in my loaded list! Still hoping you will make it for SSE.

mnikjom ported Aurora Village to Skyrim Special Edition. MichelleBrujah has a patch for RS Children but he states you have to port it, so it might be the same patch included with this mod. To anyone interested in doing it for themselves...

      1) The archive contains a patch for RS Children. You simply have to enable the check box during installation. The patch should work but see below.
      2) You will want to install the "loose files" version (rather than the BSA version). It is then necessary to navigate to "data\meshes\actors\character\facegendata\facegeom\AuroraVillage.esp" and delete all NIF. Next, navigate to "Textures\actors\character\facegendata\facetint\auroravillage.esp" and do the same for all DDS files. I also recommend that you open each plugin file in the Creation Kit (CK) and save them. New FaceGen data is needed for all actors added by this mod (the Editor ID for each NPC actor starts with "Aurora", such as "AuroraFenrir"). To export the FaceGen data, select all the actors in the CK and press CTRL+F4 then select Yes.. This results in the CK creating new NIF files. Finally, several meshes should be converted using SSE NIF optimizer. They can be found in "data\meshes\auroravillage".

whenever i go to aurora, some of the townsfolk attack me. not all, and not the guards. but like Jeeb, Ursula, Moss, couple others, are aggressive to me. the guards talk to me fine. i see in tesedit, that the people who attack, have a location reference titled "Boss". could that be it, and can i remove that? i see other npcs there don't have Boss in their Cell setting.
    anyone else get this issue?
