    Great idea, and very useful for mages as well as the less magically inclined. My only suggestion would be to add more to the feedback loop; play a sound when the rune's triggered (and play some kind of visual effect, like a non-damaging "explosion" or a brief pillar of light like you see in the Soul Cairn. Right now it's very hard to tell when the rune goes off, and impossible if you're not looking at it. It'd also be nice to restore the usual Soul Trap sound and VFX when the target dies. I'm not sure why it doesn't, actually. This sort of feedback just makes the spell seem more effectual.

      I couldn't agree more. I worked on getting the original effects to resume for days and couldn't get it going so I just decided I would try again to figure it out if any new features were going to be added. As it is currently, the effects not triggering is annoying to me, but the spell itself still seems rather useful. Getting those effect working is, however, certainly on the top of my list for things that could improve it. Thanks much for the feedback!

    Fantastic idea.
    I personally think it should be harder/more expensive to cast than normal soul trap. Say you trap 10 enemies in those 30 seconds... thats a lot of magicka saved. But I appreciate your idea for non-mages. Perhaps 2 versions?

    Perhaps have a low level version, that gets improved by runemaster? Novices can cast the crappy one, masters can cast a much improved one.

      Actually, my initial idea was for it to only be used for one-offs, but after getting into it, the multi seemed okay to me given the melee-combat intention. (e.g. if you can get two enemies to run through the trap at the same time in the first place AND kill them in less than 30 seconds: good job, you've earned them).

      I think I'll be balancing further by increasing the cost slightly, but decreasing the duration down to 15 seconds to see how that goes. The distance is already tied to Rune Master just as any other rune, but I still think moving it out a bit would make it more balanced (reads "useful"); especially with dropping the duration even further, thereby making the combat have to be fast paced in order to get multiples. Splash damage from casters will always be a problem for balance when a fireball can wipe out a small camp. I may be able to augment that with a buff to magic resistance for the duration of the bind though to compensate.

    Now thats what i call stealth soul trap, brilliant Idea. if only you could make a version that it is a lesser power spell that uses the key "Z" like shouting and other spells that can be casted as much as you want without the "Day limitation", it would be awesome because if you using a ranged weapon and you want to cast a ranged spell and still remain undetected you have to switch to spell and after you casted you need to bring up you ranged weapon, it a bit frustrating to change weapons all the time... other then that its a MASTERPIECE mod that is essential. when i can i will download this.

      I'm actually working on something that has a very similar feature included, so I probably won't include a power in this one, but thanks much for the kind words and suggestion.

    This is a pretty cool concept, but it would be nice to see a video of this spell in action.

    I like it. However, how about an option for a normal cost version for those who do not wish to upset the balance of their game. Perhaps a low level, low range spell can be the novice version, and add in higher level versions with larger ranges/duration or even charges.

      Awesome; I'm glad you like it. And game balance is very important to me, and I have been looking into ways to better balance it for casters. I will be updating soon enough and hopefully, we can get that nailed down.
