ive tryed every configuration of this mod, duel sheath redux, and its patch, and the best ive gotten is the shield is glitching and going to my feet, like im sledding/surfing with it or it stays on my arm.
That could be an issue with the skeleton you're using for Dual Sheath Redux. I'd suggest either reinstalling the skeleton you have, or trying XP32 Extended
The shield and the duel sheath redux patch works perfectly, its on back, but there is on thing, the shield is crooked on back, I mean, its not on middle of back, just on the right side, and when you sprint its jus weird with the arm going through, now the only reason with it doing that is, the "middle of the shield" witch is the handle in skyrim, but you have the handle on the right to make room for the strap, having the player hold it by the handle, it might appear ok in hand, but on back, the game has the handle, go to the middle of the back, not the shield in the middle, witch makes the shield look awkward, but of course, you said you don't use due sheath, so I don't see you fixing it, just felt like letting you know, neat mod though, love the shield from the game.
The back centering with Dual Sheath Redux is very easy to fix. I've fixed the meshes for my main mod, Relics of Hyrule, but I can upload them here as well.
Huh. I just checked the meshes and they should be working. Did you download the Optional file Dual Sheath Redux Meshes - Updated? Because the Main File doesn't include them. Maybe the Dual Sheath Redux patcher needs to be run again?
I don't know what's going wrong...I checked and rechecked the meshes, and they work fine in my game. The only thing I can think now is to try equipping a weapon or unequipping the shield? Other than that I have no other ideas of how to help.
I fixit , was a load order problem , i move the terminanshield.esp before the dualsheath_redux_patch.esp run the patcher and works , srry , and Thanks again for this awesome zelda mods ,
Hey just downloaded this, the shield looks great However the Dual Sheath Redux meshes aren't working for me, any installation recommendations (or guidelines)?
I do want to make a Kokiri/Razor Sword/Gilded Sword mod one of these days, so if he did...that would be cool. As for a Young Link outfit, I don't think I can make one. I ca'n't make meshes, only textures, so unless I can shrink down the Stormcloak armor or something...
I know you use other meshes, so I was thinking that since Tyen let you use his Hylian Shield as a base for this, you have someone else remove the sleeves and leggings, and retexture it as maybe necessary, and there you go! Sorry if I'm pushy, I just really have been wanting to make a Young Link character.
I don't suppose you'd consider letting the creator of that mod properly credit you and implement the mods you make that would fit, would you? It'd make a world of difference, these are extraordinary quality.
I'll think about it, but I've been making my mods to sort of blend the two worlds of The Elder Scrolls and Zelda as though Tamriel is Hyrule but thousands upon thousands of years in the future, when the events of the Legends of Zelda are long since passed. I'm not sure about integrating my mods into a re-created Hyrule...I don't know.
It's not an issue of placing them properly, it's more like "You have made BEAUTIFUL renditions of these objects and having them placed appropriately in the other mod would enhance it by a large margin."
The Master Sword, for example, would go in the proper pedestal. The Hylian shields would be sold in marketplaces, unenchanted, perhaps with the Terminan shield being a unique version similar to the unique weapons in Skyrim itself like the boons granted by Daedric Princes.
The mod creator has placed a few Goddess shrines around the worldspace, and with the Great Fairy areas there's the possibility of having the items "awakened" the "original way." Blessings of the Goddesses and all that, you know? Although in OoT the sword is gained fully awakened and powered, for the sake of cool-factor, like my Gem Pedestal I'm making for the mod seen below, we could deviate from total emulation. http://i40.tinypic.com/2zsblgo.png
The Master Sword loses its charge in several games, most notably and probably most memorably in Wind Waker you have to awaken it. It seems you're going for a "Wind Waker is to Ocarina of Time as Skyrim is to Child-Timeline successful Ocarina of Time ending," which is brutally cool.
You could take such a concept further if the other mod gets to a certain point in development.
Time travel upon activating the sword and gaining the ability to withdraw it by going through the mod and meeting certain criteria, which could have you be set with the following scenario as well: Start in Kokiri Forest Deku Tree bunch of stuff Got 3 spiritual stones Activate this thing http://i40.tinypic.com/2zsblgo .png Spiritual Stones are placed similar to the "Paragon Gates" in Dawnguard's "Veil" area Push Z, menu pops up Select Song of Time SoT plays Door opens You enter the Inner Sanctum Activate the Master Sword Flash-cut to Skyrim's Master Sword placement, you draw it out in the current time having proven yourself worthy rather than happening to be the worthy one.
If you're worried about integration, I've got your back. I love your dedication, man. Takes heart to make sure your art is handled correctly.
You could also have the activation of the pedestal the Master Sword is embedded in be the trigger for visiting the other time period. Activate the pedestal and either you could do any of the following: place the Master Sword into it and travel to the combined child/adult world Place the Master Sword into it and go back to child-timeline, with the Master Sword's withdrawal being the deciding factor in whether you're in Skyrim or Hyrule (meaning take it and you're in Skyrim, leave it embedded and you're in Hyrule) Putting it into the pedestal is the trigger for travelling between time periods, which allows the following very nice feature:
In Hyrule, it's ALWAYS full power, like in the original game. In Skyrim, you have to awaken it, which can be done with items you get during your time in Hyrule. This is accomplished by removing the current Master Sword from your inventory by default, again similar to the Paragon Gates, and immediately being taken to the Temple of Time in Hyrule, where you may withdraw the OoT Full-Power Master Sword, but to get back to Skyrim you have to do the same thing. Activate pedestal, teleported to Skyrim, and in the Skyrim pedestal is the version of the Master Sword you inserted in order to get to Hyrule.
That's the coolest fix for integration I can think of.
Oh, my, you've certainly thought a lot about this. One concern I have is that a lot of my mods use meshes created by other people. They would have to be properly credited and linked to as I have done.
Actually I made all that up as I went along. That's why I changed my mind so many times, haha. As for the crediting, I can't imagine a scenario in which a mod author would be so ungrateful as to refuse to credit others for their wonderful work. I'm positive that the mod author would give full credits, and if he doesn't I'll get you guys' names tattooed on my chest or something.
I am a big fan of this and all of your mods, just one issue I have ran into recently. Could you release a mesh patch for this and your other zelda themes weapon mods so that they will work properly with duel Sheath Redux? I would love to walk around with the shield on my back just like in the original game! If you can do this it would be most appreciated!

Unfortunately, I don't use Dual Sheath Redux, so I don't know how to help.
Implemented with story by you, instant badassery.

I have seen that mod! It's very impressive.
