I couldn't figure out how to fix the Left or Right dpad issue with unequiping all of my gear :( I gave up and removed loadout. At least i figured out which mod was the culprit. I play with controller and that has a feature that lets you set a priority 1 and 2 for stuff to swap into a new weapon with the use of left or right dpad. Likely i can't have loadout while on controller, my thoughts.
tried to replace sky ui with this but it didn't even work , sky ui was great if after awhile certain euipment slots didn't get buggy and skip equipping one or two items
Using this mod for several years and if its working its a dream. However, sometimes it stops working ... no idea why. In this case I do the following:
1. Quicksave 2. Leave Skyrim to desktop 3. In mod manager deactivate Loadout 4. Start Skyrim and continue game 5. Quicksave 6. Leave Skyrim to desktop 7. In mod manager activate Loadout 8. Start Skyrim and continue game. You should see the welcome message from the newly installed Loadout mod.
Now it should work ... at least for me it did always Good luck!
I am done with this mod. I used it for years. Now it's either super slow to do anything, or doesn't work at all. Or unequipped stuff instead of equipping it. Usually the trick of turning it off and then back on works...but not anymore. Sadly I am finally going to have to uninstall this mod. It's a buggy piece of **** that may never get another update.
And the mod doesn't work. Such a shame, because I was actually looking forward to this to use for a character who uses specific weapon and armor loadouts depending on the situation. Example: shield and sword for open combat, whip from Castlevania mod for mid range, two long range loadouts for arrows and spells, etc I can get the loadouts to set, but I can't change between them. So unfortunately I will have to be uninstalling this one. Really is a shame.
It's sad this mod is outdated. I used it for years until it started getting buggy (not saving equipment) so I uninstalled it last year. SkyUI is supposed to replace this and other loadout-like mods, however it also fails at the same point. Like this mod SkyUI for some reason doesn't save equipment on the first HK. I always searched for a good replacement but never found one that was actually as easy to use as Loadout.
This mod is junk. The appeal is awesome, the result is a bugged, outdated, unconfortable "awesome wammabe mod". On the paper its really awesome BUT: 1) The Hk replacement is stupid: you can reactivate the NumPad via Skyrim installation folder/data/interface/controls/Pc/controllmap file and edit it like this
Now you can have 6 more Hk (num3 to num8, num9 don't work, idk why) and the first 2 Hk slots of the num pad are "useless now" 'cause the controller d-pad right and left still HKeyd to slot 1 and 2. Keep in mind thah Deazurain made a "not so good" remapping and a "not so good" configuration file for controller+keyboard set up. If you use keyboard+controller configuration from other mods or made by yourself, Loadout will make 80% of the keyboard dead: You can use the Hknum (one to Zero) and maybe the HkNumpad if you make a "ControllMap" file like the example above BUT with loadout you cannot use all your keyboards with your 360 controller. With loadout my 50 personal hotkeys are gone forever.
2) The "d-pad" slosts: I figured out, pretty soon, that with a config file you can also HKeyed the left and right d-pad+rb/lt (or all the d-pad direction) in order to use all the new "sets" slot with no effort instead of stick with the "BAD" controller+keyboard remapping of this mod.
BUT Loadout's lot of bugs make all of this "senseless" causthis mod will never work properly in a new game, no matter your load order, your mods and your Intellect. It's just a pile of outdated scripts.
It's even unable to work with new Skse... He need an older version... WHY?
3) The uninstaller don't work properly. Also the ironic message of it is a really bad and inappropriate joke.
4) After hours spends on making this mod smooth with all my unique Modded Skyrim, I just realize that the only way to use this mod is this:
REMOVE IT and stick with any CFM around here and stick with them.
Can't Get it to work. it will save loadouts on both keyboard and controller however it wont restore them, any tips on this? i changed the load order moving it towards the top 40 (including ESM's of which i have 19) im all ears.
This mod doesnt make sense. Why would you override the default hotkeys? I use 1-8 for weapons and spells. I really wish I could use your mod it's pointless when you replace hotkey slots that work fine to begin with.
