v1.1 Changelog: - Added new Mask version without the neck scarf - Added ability to enchant the Face Masks - Added an optional saturated texture set - Added new Mask colour (Brown/Leather) - Changed the item slot to #47 (kept original item slot #55 as optional download) - Slightly changed the textures brightness levels
I've made a couple of changes to the original textures, namely making the black colour variant darker. A new Brown face mask colour has been added in this update too. I've tried to make this colour version fit more with the leather armours in the game, so although the colour is labeled brown, it's more of a leather variant (while still being brown). I've also changed the item slot the items use. This was probably the hardest part when making this mod, as the wrong choice can be soooo wrong. I've really no idea how much slot 47 will conflict with other mods, so I've left in the original slot number of 55 as an optional download. Oh yeah and they can now be enchanted! Not sure how I missed that in the first release... I should have checked it was enchantable before uploading it. Orc race support was dropped because there is no Orc face mesh to act as a base (or I couldn't find one), so getting it to work as intended was going to be a very tedious process. I gave it a go briefly but it very quickly became a pain in the ass. Sorry Orcs...
Those asking about incompatibilities with backpacks for users of FROSTFALL, there is an optional file to move the item slot to 55 or 44.
I now realise using slot 47 was a bad choice as such mods as Frostfall, among others; use that slot for the backpacks ect. I accept I made a boo boo on that one. To remedy this though, I have already included an optional download that moves the item slot back to #55 or to #44, how it was when the mod was first released. Hopefully that will cure some incompatibilities?
This mod requires the Dragonborn DLC because it uses the normal map and a modified diffuse from the Chitin Helmet, which comes with the DLC. Not only that, I used the base mesh of the 'Heavy Chitin Helmet' as a basis for the Face Masks. It's a heavily modified mesh of the bottom section of the 'Heavy Chitin Helmet'. No I'm not going to make this mod without the need for the DLC, that would require me to completely remake the mod again. Go elsewhere for a facemask mod if you don't have the DLC, they do exist here on the nexus.
I don't understand the DLC requirements. It's absolutely stupid and pointless. There are lots of other mods that do the same thing and don't require these DLCS. Can anyone explain?
No matter what method of installation I attempt with this mod, it just doesn't show up in game. The item exists and I can craft it, but it is invisible. I'm using the Special Edition so the DLC should already be there. Not sure what the problem is exactly.
Hello volvaga0 Along with other posts, user like myself that use obis mod, I'm thinking its not quite compatible obis, going to do some more testing with that, .. But I'm also noticing it's not showing in recipe form either, at the rack nothing , and using additem the esp isn't showing either, even tho in vortex, the esp is indeed checked Reading the sticky it says you used chitin heavy helmet for a base, so I gave myself both smithing perks for either light chitin or heavy , ( uses ordinator perk mod ) and still a no show ... Ok tried a manual download , add mod from file on vortex, esp checked , with obis disabled, still a no show either with additem, using console help mask , help face , ... /shrug I really don't know what else , I only downloaded the stand alone..
I INSTALL THE mod but for some reason the skins appear as a huge red box with a question mark any solution. so if i install only this modor if I decide to install only OBIS.
