Can you port this over in .bsa format? ive tried so many times and the game just crashes over and over when ever I try looking at the weapons when trying to buy the ones sold in Whiterun.
Ok so I have successfully ported these lovely textures over to SSE and no more CTD or anything. I used GIMP to convert the textures to DXT5? Seems to have worked. I used Nif optimizer on the meshes.... May I release them on the SSE Nexus?
I would greatly appreciate a quick how-to on the conversion if you can't upload to the nexus, really want this mod on SSE myself too. Totally understand if it's too complex/would take too much time to explain. Hopefully you get permission to upload
Thank you for this. I had no experience with GIMP and was still able to export the textures and can now use them without CTDs.
For those who want to port this for SSE, first use SSE Nif Optimizer on the Meshes.
Then use GIMP (and its DDS plugin) to open each .dds texture file, and export it using DXT5 compression. When exporting, replace each file and don't worry about renaming anything.
to stop CTDs after optimizing the nifs and using DXT5 compression on the textures i simply just deleted the cubemap folder and no more CTD works prefectly
I optimized the nifs and loaded this into my SSE game and I am getting a CTD in blackreach when I get anywhere near Sauron with the retextures installed. Without them, I can fight him like normal and get the mace.... Solved it by exporting the cubemaps as DXT5 in GIMP and also used the Sauronmace nif from the original mod(for first person as well just renamed it) in case anybody else has this issue.
