UPDATE AND GOOD NEWS FOR SKYRIM SE PLAYERS: I've been testing the armor, weapons and horse in Skyrim SE. So far everything seems to be working fine. Haven't run across any major bugs so once I get everything in place, there should be a release. There is no specific time table so please don''t ask.
As for giving permission to use the armor in other mods, right now, my focus is to get the armor ready for my own release of it before considering giving such permissions.
I'm currently working to update everything to insure the armor is ready for public use. I know it's been a ridiculously long wait. As stated before, there have been some uncontrollable circumstances that prevented me from releasing the newer version a couple of years ago. However, thankfully things have changed. The armor looks pretty good in SE. Better IMO with the new occlusion and shading of the 64 bit version. But that's just my opinion.
Once I've finished all my edits and making sure everything is working properly as it should, I will release the mod first on Skyrim SE Nexus. Then there may be a release here. Reason for the change in which version will get the new work first is because SE is just more stable and I've been really focusing on that. That's not so say there won't be a version for Original skyrim. There will still be a version available for those who do not play SE. Just not before the SE version is complete.
UPDATE: Still working. In fact, I recently caught a HUGE break. the HD which contained some PSD files that were assumed lost, decided to start working again. Meaning, I was able to access those files and retrieve them. Reason this is important is that they were the files which contained a huge amount of work and detail. So, I've been hard at work tweaking and fine tuning. Takes time but will be well worth it once done. In the meantime, a new screenshot is now available showing the WIP textures.
ABOUT THE XBOX ONE VERSION: The mod was put on Beth.net without my permission, thus I had it removed. The person who posted it claims he or she got word from someone claiming to have spoken to me and that I said they could use it. That is BS. I have not been around because I've been busy WORKING ON the new version of this mod and several other projects. SO UNLESS YOU SPEAK TO ME DIRECTLY AND I HAPPEN TO GIVE PERMISSION, any other claims are FALSE.
There was a plan in place to add the mod to Xbox One but, only the new version. However with this new situation, I'm not sure what I will do. And anyone pretending they've spoken to me personally about this and that I've said what will happen one way or another is full of it. I will decide what will happen once the work is complete. Some people have taken it upon themselves claiming to have had extensive conversations with me on this subject. Again, this is BS. I don't plan to talk to anyone about what will happen. That's my decision alone. I will say this, I now understand why a lot of modders have called it quits after nonsense like this. Anyway, the new version is still in the works with some fine tuning and is still planned for release on the Nexus. As for Xbox one, we will see.
NEW UPDATE: Yes the mod is still coming to SSE. I'm in the process of finishing up the textures. Also I'd like to take this time to ask if there is anyone interested in helping in the creation of a quest for the armor please send me a PM. I am actively looking for someone to team up with to complete a quest. Again, If you happen to know someone skilled in this area that might be willing to help send me a PM. Anyway, it will still be available one way or the other. The armor is mostly done so we will see. No set time but it will eventually be released.
True, it could've been great, I remember Jerros took a lot of crap for having the xbox one version taken down when it was posted without his permission, he probably decided enough was enough and called it quits. It's unfortunate but it is his choice.
It's craftable under the daedric smithing category. Unless you use the methods described in this thread, it'll likely have some parts of the armor greyed out
2. Navigate to data/Meshes/armor/LPotD_Armor-or-data/Meshes/weapons/LPotD -or-data/Meshes/LPotDHorse
3. Right-click on affected mesh (.nif) file and Open With > Chose Another App > Chose an App on Your PC. Navigate to data/CalienteTools/BodySlide and select Outfit Studio x64. (Set as default to save time in the future)
4. When launched, Outfit Studio will ask if you would like to optimize the project for SSE. Click Yes.
--DO NOT MAKE ANY OTHER CHANGES UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING--
5. Immediately export by going to File > Export > To NIF... and select the mesh you're working on. It will ask if you want to replace the file. Click Yes.
Congratulations, you just optimized the Oldrim mesh for SE! My hope is that others who wish to use this 11 year-old mod can do so with minimal headaches, because it turned out awesome!
I tried, fixed everything but the Male Closed helmet and the hilt on the one-hand sword (Both items I'm trying to use on my next playthrough). Was about to give up and settle for Breton Paladin when I tried outfit studio as a last resort. Just another option for people that I can confirm works as of today.
edit: sorry guys :( Nexus got mad at me for sharing the port and removed it. Apparently it doesn't matter if the original developer has vanished into dust and that I said I'd remove it if he came back and asked. Respectfully, please stop asking me for a copy of the port. I haven't modded or played Skyrim in quite a few years now and I have no clue where the file is, and Nexus made it very clear they do not want me sharing the mod anyways.
It is very easy to port this mod yourself. Just use the SSE NIF Optimizer on the files inside of "Meshes" and replace the original Meshes files with the output, then install the mod as normal. The original .esp and textures do not need to be repacked. It will take about the same amount of time as it will to write me a message asking for a mod I no longer have.
I was trying to help people by giving them a copy of the port and even tried posting it on Nexus, but someone must've reported me because I got a warning just for doing so.
@turtlegodking Yeah, I'm used to being that noob always looking for someone to port something I want from LE. Not anymore, it's freaking easy to do it ourself !
@turtlegodking I explained how to do it in my reply and yet am still receiving messages asking for a copy of the mod (I don't even have it anymore) to this day :/ Nexus also yelled at me for uploading the port years ago, so I wouldn't risk posting it again even if I still had it.
It's such a simple process to port the mod yourself with the NIF Optimizer that it can basically be done in the time it takes to write a comment or message asking me for the mod. And if you learn how to do it, you can port any basic mesh mod from LE to SE. So guys, please, just run the NIF optimizer on the Meshes. That's all it takes.
It's 2024, and this mod is perfectly safe. This is a weapons/armor mod with a horse, not a game overhaul with scripted quests or dependencies on unofficial patches or SKSE or SkyUI. If you can't get this to work, then you didn't install it correctly. It's fine, L2P.

You can use BodySlide and Outfit Studio to fix any "greyed-out" meshes and optimize this amazing armor set for SSE.
1. Download and install BodySlide and Outfit Studio into your data folder.
2. Navigate to data/Meshes/armor/LPotD_Armor -or- data/Meshes/weapons/LPotD -or- data/Meshes/LPotDHorse
3. Right-click on affected mesh (.nif) file and Open With > Chose Another App > Chose an App on Your PC. Navigate to data/CalienteTools/BodySlide and select Outfit Studio x64. (Set as default to save time in the future)

Thanks
It takes less then 5 min to do
Or send them a DM instead

If not, what armor mod is this ?
Aside from that, excellent work.
I really enjoy this armor. Fits perfectly if you are playing an undead slaying paladin siding with the dawnguard.
great mod, awesome detail and colorfull
but too old =_=
