I've returned for a bit to clean up and update my Bat Travel mod and I thought I'd give this one some attention too.
To anyone interested, I'd like to say I'm currently working on remaking this mod for SE. Key difference being I don't want to use the essential mechanic as a method of immortality. It was a method that opened up the game to game breaking bugs. I'm making good progress but it'll take me a bit of time still (Red Dead Revolver 2 is out tomorrow too, so...). But I'll try to get something out within a few weeks :). Stay tuned.
the poster of the SSE port said to bring discussions here. So I guess I'm wondering if anyone whos played the port has tried it in vr? I'm wondering about the first person animation. Will it hijack my screen in vr? Would it crash, softlock, etc?
here are some commands for your TVD style playing:
this makes your character's run speed just like in the show, and your walk speed becomes regular running speed: player.forceav speedmult 400
this makes you jump stoopid high: player.setgs fjumpheightmin 900
this makes you not taking fall damage: player.setgs fJumpFallHeightMult 0.001
you can use 'better vampires' mod as the latest version includes making the aged and more fed vampires stronger, just like in TVD.
and i recall there was another vampire mod that includes 'nightmare' spell for vampires; allowing the vampire player to induce nightmares to sleeping humanoids, again just like in TVD.
unfortunately i dont have any mod includes vervein and its effects but theres another mod called 'belua sanguiner' allows you to compell human npc's for couple things (if they are not carrying garlic, which means garlic acts as vervein) but you can only use 'better vampires' or 'belua sanguinare', not both.
a while ago i found a mod that did something similar, but now i can't find that mod anywhere. it would turn the undead to ash pile when you kill them with either fire spells or by sunlight exposure. it was such a simple and yet great mod, and i can't find it im just about to give up.
This is great news!! I just returned to skyrim SSE and true death have always been a constant companion in my playthroughs. I am really looking forward to this! Best of luck :-)
for some reason its not working for me, I dont have any other mods installed that affect vampires with the exception of giving Serana a better hairstyle, but i doubt that would be the cause?
I do not find this mod truly lore. The stake is not the only way to kill a vamp (there are some others, even with silver weapons), and it is thought to be done with the help of a mallet when they are resting in a coffin. Do it manually while in combat is not realistic, even physically. Be forced to change your weapon to kill them in this way breaks immersion for me, and makes the combat too much difficult when you fight them in groups.
