  • New Dwarven Quiver Badge!

Thought this mod was left by the wayside, did you?  NOPE

In idly perusing meshes, I discovered that the read/write pedastal for the Dwemer Lexicon had a very well-shaped disk with that Dwemer symbol on it.  You might not have noticed, but while you fiddle around with the Elder Scroll Reader thingamajig, the lexicon suddenly will open up while sitting on the read/write pedastal.  I swiped that, made some positional adjustments, made an envirocube mask for it (since glow maps and envirocube maps seem to be mutually exclusive due to the way the material shader system is set up... nice design there, BGS!  ), and here you have it:

I've also covered IsharaMeradin's Aesthetic Bolt Quiver mod compatibility.  Download and install ONE OR THE O...

  • New Optional Files

By popular demand, an alternative quiver model for the Dwarven bolts more in-line with the original is now available. Since the reason I made the change in the first place was to make it easier at a glance to see if your quiver was dwarven or steel, I added an additional dwarven badge used with permission from Brumbek's Static Mesh Improvement Mod. Check out the screenshot gallery to see an example.

Additionally, HD textures based off the Official HD Texture Pack are now available. As an additional enhancement, the dwarven bolts' fletchings are more vibrantly colored. In the process, I discovered that the HD Steel Bolt textures... really aren't. They apparently simply packed away a copy of the standard-def 512x512 textures. Using some Photoshoppery, I spliced...

  • 1.0.2

For some inexplicable and perplexing reason, the dwarven bolts were extra bright in daylight in exterior cells, even in the shade. I have not a clue why, even after lots of comparison in NIFSkope with the steel bolts (which don't do this). After some NIFSkope mumbo-jumbo, the problem is resolved in v1.0.2 (and I still have no clue why it did it...)...

  • 1.0.1

After viewing the explosive and regular dwarven bolts one right after the other in the inventory in-game, I noticed that the dwarven bolt quiver looked unusually round looking compared to the explosives. Peering into NIFSkope, I discovered that I forgot to generate a complete tangent space for the regular's quiver. Tangent space data is important for rendering normal maps, and having an incomplete one can make them look... off. v1.0.1 has a fully formed tangent space in the errant mesh now....
