I also saw that at first, no evasive action occurred and stamina was consumed. Afterwards, I found the problem.Place TK Dodge in the SKYRIM DATA folder and run FINS.When running FNIS, click the second TK Dodge checkbox at the bottom and run it. your problems will disappear. It works very well now
Hi there, I am having a problem with this one. When i double tap wasd or tap alt nothing happends, and after i reload the save everything is happening. I mean every double tap / alt that I pressed previous to loading a saved game starts going of and my character is rolling uncotrollably everywhere, It's crazy annoying and sometimes results in game crash. When my character just spins around and I try to stop him (pressing jump key etc.) it sometimes results in crash. I also have some more problems about other mods that come up after loading a saved game, they are really similar - something that was bound to happen before save would not come and it fires up everything after the save, annoying as hell and idk what to do :V
It clearly doesn't want to function as intended. The roll works fine, but to get the step dash to work, it clearly needs other things.
I just want step dash to work, but it needs something and that thing that it needs is difficult to properly find. Every animation I find and install just doesn't work. My character always moves a single foot and uses up stamina.
If you think you could help my situation, please go ahead, I am completely lost right now.
So, I found something odd. The mod was working fine in first-person, but for whatever reason it simply would not work in third-person, no matter what I did. Let LOOT sort the load order, put TKDodge at the top of the load order, put it at the very bottom, run in compatibility mode, etc.; none of it worked. However, I then found a post here https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/735802-tk-dodge/page-76 from aareyn that fixed it. I had to run the FNISGenerator Tool with the appropriate patch selected BEFORE installing TK Dodge. If it was run after TK Dodge was installed, I come up with the issue I had before. It HAD to be run with the patch before installing TK Dodge. This defies all logic, yet I have the proof right in front of me. The MCM menu for the mod has broken text now though, but hey, it works.
for those having the issue of rolling in the same place this solution solved it for me (even tho i dont know why) 1-delete your tk dodge mod (if you still have it installed). 2-run fnis and check tk dodge as if you have the mod. 3-now download your tk mod normally and dont run fnis this time.

EDIT: Turns out I just needed to open FNIS independent of Vortex

A lot of the mods requiring this file is a lie. It is the other way round.
You REALLY require most of the things on that list for it to properly function.
If a lot of you are confused, that is fair.

1. Install the optional file
2. Run FNIS/NEMESIS and tick the TK Dodge option
3. Tick the option in the MCM
Because I just did all of this and have no issues at all
I've started with Vortex; should I get rid of it?
And yes I highly recomend you get rid of FNIS as it is outdated
I thank you for your patience with me, regardless of my rude start.
Edit: it is telling me that it is, "Unable to locate Skyrim Data folder. This tool must be executed in skyrim's data folder".
I need to ask.
Do i overwrite (ultimate combat) with (this dodge mod)
or
do i overwrite (this dodge mod) with (ultimate combat?
or am i not supposed to use both?
thank you in advance
