Glad you all seem to like it, fine tuning a few things still and found a couple things I needed to change.
Septfox: If you are using the default version (or any with Detailed Shadows enabled), try turning "UseBilateralShadowFilter=false' to "UseBilateralShadowFilter=true" under [Shadow] near the bottom of ENBSeries. If its what you are experiencing is what I think it is that cleaned up the shadows a bit more (or can disable it entirely but less shadow quality).
One of the things I just cleaned up today and was easy enough once I started looking at things a little closer.
Regarding load times: Usually it seems to be related to SSAO or DoF settings (in my experience anyways with other ENBs in the past). As I set it up for my own PC not sure how you can fix it other than try disabling particular settings under [Effect] list in the ENBSeries to try to see if it might be one of those settings slowing it down. It might not be it but its just an idea to try troubleshooting for a possible cause.
This is the first ENB preset I've tried that hasn't A: been disgustingly hazy, like there's a film over the entire scene, necessitating contrast tweaking to "fix" or B: Been extremely overbright/reliant on Realistic Lighting to curb terrible/sloppy brightness settings so dungeons weren't daylit or C: Had horrid-looking banding in gradients or D: Any combination of the above
I have to say, you have a nice, balanced preset here. Clear, sunny days are...well, clear and sunny. Nights are dark and moody. Dungeons are reasonably dark and foreboding. The fact that everything *works* (several presets I tried had completely broken SSAO because of various bad settings, others adaptation or DOF was broken/incomplete) and it still looks good...
Well, lets just say I can't endorse it hard enough. Good job.
If I have one complaint, it's that shadows have a bit of patterning in bright daylight, particularly around the edges. Might be a problem with my own shadow settings, though. Not enough of a bother to go mucking around and find out.
This is totally the type of colour scheme I've been looking for, just about the right amounts of everything. I had to turn of some features to help with load times but it's still stands out. I'll be tracking this and keeping an eye out for the finished version.
Great work, endorsed and I hope it gets some more recognition in the future.
Hey eldyraen, nice to see you've released! I'll be checking this out once I can (in a week or so, sadly). Very exiting. I've always loved your screenies in the enbdev thread. Good luck with this!
Don't go too much by what I am saying, particularly with regards to performance. For one thing I ve not moved about in the game too much since I ve installed ENB but most importantly I have turned off Depth of Field, Ambient Occlusion and Adaptation.
I will let you know more about my experience with your mod as I keep using it.
Brinnie: Thanks and glad to know performance isn't too big of a hit as haven't had others use it before especially since I have just about everything enabled and on quality settings (but it is substantial at times for me, forests and cities are biggest hit by far--granted running on ultra, modded ini, and tons of textures/mods doesn't help).
Once you try v114 you can brighten and darken shadows using the new Sky Lighting feature as well without losing some of the lighting from ambient settings (comes in handy). I know exactly what you mean with lighting as its always one of my main issues that I'm undecided on as lighting varies so much under different conditions and by location.
