This development status means that a new patch is underway in order to bring the mod up to current standards and add new features. There is no planned development after this update other than to fix bugs that might arise.
Please consult other knowledgeable users who may be able to address issues you may have. I have verified that this mod works as described in an unmodded development environment. If the mod is not working as expected, it is most likely due to an incompatibility issue.

I wanted to share my recent experience in hopes that it will help other players of Skyrim LE using the Wearable Lanterns mod. I took a break from Skyrim and recently decided to fire the game up again only to be faced with all kinds of errors from mods that all were working prior to my hiatus. After getting most things back in line there was one error that I could not shake - the infamous read/write error from Wearable Lanterns. The majority of posts and fixes are for the SE version of Skyrim, not the LE version. But, in desperation I tried them all in hopes of getting this error to go away, but to no avail. I even took ownership of the hard drive my games were installed on to see if that would work. Nope. In fact, I don't think the error has anything to do with permissions as I had full permission control over the drive and its contents, and it still failed.
This is what worked for me: I decided to do a clean install of Skyrim, SKSE, and my mods. **Make sure you have your game saves backed up and your mod archives available for reinstall** Now everything works smoothly and no errors. Also, there was no need to install any of these newer patches and other work arounds - just straight clean install of the aforementioned. I guess over time with all the updates and such files became numerous and corrupt - I had a lot of copies of files ( ".copy"). I hope this information solves this issue for others as I could not find any working solution for us LE players. Cheers!
The reason why the mod's MCM is in Russian is because you are probably playing the game in Russian... If so, the translation file will be loaded from BSA Archive.
I'm super confused at the issue I'm having. When I craft and equip the lantern neither its model nor light appears. It's as though it's either not equipped or invisible. I've used this mod for a long time before hand so I'm not sure why this is happening. I've read mod description and tried some troubleshooting. Any tips from anybody?
Mine too, its plugin is for le, so MO2 won't let me start the game. I'm very confused because the mod was updated and still relies on storageutil.dll which aparently is the wrong version!
Have you tried overwriting Wearable Lantern's included storageutil.dll with the one included with PapyrusUtil. The mod is working fine for me after doing that.
But I have one little issue. I installed this mod along with campfire, Using Vortex. But vortex shows some conflict between campfire and wearable lantern. I am a noob when it comes to load order thing.
The conflict happens because both mods come with the storageUtil.dll, which is a plugin for SKSE. The one from the campfire mod seems to be the updated one so I suggest using it, instead of the one from wearable lanterns. The storageUtil.dll from wearable lanterns can be removed.
firstly DONT use vortex its better to manually instal as that means you wont have mesh/ texture or file conflict issues, second remember to put the mod you want working the best at the BOTTOM of the load order so for this mod it would be UNDER Sky UI
when I use the lantern in my left hand, in third person mode, the arm is straight down as if it's not holding anything, in first person mode the normal hand position is like holding a torch and a lantern. i suspect there is a problem with the xp32 maximum skeleton mod i installed, when i uninstalled the mod the arm was back to normal with no bugs. Does anyone know how to solve this problem, because I need xp32 maximum skeleton for my other mods
Hi! I'm confused, I have checked all older versions of this mod and they all had SkyUI in their requirement section when I'd press download. Which one did you download without SkyUI? I really really want to try this mod out...
Any old version before gives 2.2 probably. It is still compatible with Patch HDT. Any configuration will be done by buying a manual from sellers and changing positions trying to drop it on the ground.
The warning is the same for all downloads by default.
