Can't seem to get this to work. It does take the hood off of Brynjolf, so it's doing SOMETHING, but I can't get the dialog to work. I'm wondering if it's UFO or something else that's not working with it.
Mod not work. Brynjolf and Vex not follower. Missing dialogue follow me. Please fix or help.Thanks. ( I'm sorry for my bad English. I'm speak only Czech or Poland )
[this was meant to be a PM but couldn't be sent, so I hope you don't mind that I just copied it over here]
Hi. First, let me just thank you for the awesome job you've done with all the mods you've created, at least half of which I use and couldn't think of playing without. This isn't a request and I really hope it won't make you feel any kind of pressure to do anything.
However, only recently (after finding out characters liks Brynjolf and Vex weren't marriable) did I find your Thieves Guild Followers mods, and the mention that you planned on releasing a feature that would allow the player to marry them. I read through almost everything, but couldn't find an indication on whether you were still working on that (or the simplified version you've mentioned much later) or not.
I can understand not wanting to release something you're not happy with, even if it does the job "well enough and without a glitch", and I don't mean to insist that you should make the mod or anything, as much as I would like to have it. I just really wanted to know for sure if you still planned on releasing even the simplified version in the future, whenever it may be ready, or if you've come to the point where you've set it to rest and don't think you'll ever work on it again.
Again, thank you for all your hardwork in the modding community and all your contribuitions to better gaming. Specially if you've been working on porting or converting everything you've already created onto the Special Edition as well, which must be a buttload of work.
Hope to hear from you whenever it's convenient, Ellie
I doubt that I'll ever release it. Its something I put a lot of work into, but I could never get it functioning the way I wanted it to. There also just wasn't enough available dialogue to make it interesting and worthwhile. Technically, it's still on my to-do list, but that list has grown so long that I will probably never get half of it done, and this is pretty low on that list.
I installed this mod and your Nightingale Hall Restored as well as the Stealth AI mod. Karliah works just fine as a follower, however Brynjolf and Vex do not have any option to be followers. Brynjolf's hood is off, though, so I know some of the mod is working? I had already previously become the Thieves Guild Master and have the Guild Master armor, I'm unsure what could be preventing it from working. I've tried reloading, waiting 24 hours ingame, using other dialog options and talking to Tonila, however nothing has worked.. Some help, maybe?
You probably have something overwriting those NPCs further down in your load order. Open up all your mods in TES5Edit and take a look. Alternatively simply move the mod further down in your load order.
Idk this Guild Master armor. Tonnilia doesn't offer that to me and idk if I am Guild Master yet or not but I returned the Skeleton Key and that ended all TG quests... Did I miss something?
Agreed, there are 125 Radiant quests keyed to each city where you reestablish the reputation of the Thieves Guild as a group of bad asses which have to be completed. I think it is after that you get the guild master status.
You don't need to complete 125 radiant quests, but you do need to complete each of the four city "reputation" jobs. To get one of the city reputation quests, you need to complete 5 radiant jobs within that hold. You can find more information on UESP Wiki.
I'm a bit confused... I have the Bijin Mods installed, and installed this mod just right now. While MO doesn't tell me there is any override, Vex now looks skyrim-vanilla-ugly. What gives?
Is there a way to get my Bijin Vex back? Would it work if I would put the Bijin-Thing after this mod?
What you have to understand is that the way Skyrim works is if you have two or more mods changing the same record (in this case the NPC Vex) then the mod that makes the last change in your load order is the winner and what you will see in game. The way to fix this is by creating your own patch for conflict resolution which can be done with TES5Edit. It's simply a case of dragging and dropping records from both mods into your "patch" so they all work together. There are some good guides to do this on Reddit, STEP and Youtube.
funnily enough i can make Brynjolf, Vex and even Delvin a follower already in Skyrim Special Edition via console, they have full follower dialogue and everything. Might be because i had iAFT installed, not sure if it would work for EFF SE...
