Updates

Description
-----------------------------------------------------
This mod allows Brynjolf and Vex to accompany the player as followers after the completion of the Thieves Guild questline. The option to have either Vex or Brynjolf follow will occur after the player has officially become the Guild Master. Get the Guild Master's armor from Tonila then talk to one of them again.

While following, the player has access to the full follower options: you can have them wait, access their inventory, ask them do something, etc. Both Brynjolf and Vex have fully voiced responses using their original voice type.

In addition (and by necessity), this mod also fixes the bug with Brynjolf's dialogue, so he will offer his correct post-quest dialogue instead of the "I'm busy" line.

I've modified their stats to make them more valuable as a high-level followers with an emphasis on stealth, light armor, and one-handed combat. The vanilla game already gives Brynjolf a significant number of stealth & combat perks. I gave him some additional perks and increased his maximum level to 100. I also gave Vex some perks and increased her maximum level to 81.

Also, I removed the hood from Brynjolf's post-quest outfit. This is just a personal preference. I found it odd that he suddenly started wearing a hood late in the quest line and preferred the way he looked without it.

I created a custom set of Guild Master Armor for them. The standard enchantments don't really provide any benefit to a follower, so instead the new versions have Muffle, Fortify Light Armor, and Fortify Sneak enchantments. This is their default post-quest outfit and isn't accessible to the player.

Added the following perks: MuffledMovement, Lightfoot, Silence, AgileDefender20, Unhindered, Windwalker, Armsman40, DualSavagery, Overdraw00. These are in addition to his original perks: Stealth80, FightingStance, Bladesman, DualFlurry30, and SavageStrike. I removed Hack&Slash.

The perks I've added affect the base actor, so Brynjolf will also be more powerful/steathy while he is following the player during the Blindsighted quest.

Better Stealth AI
==================

I have added the script from my Better Stealth AI mod (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16531) to both Brynjolf and Vex. This means that if you give one of them a torch, they will unequip it when sneaking. While sneaking, they will wait to initiate combat until either they or the player has actually been attacked.

However, you will still need to have the Better Stealth AI mod installed if you want Brynjolf to have this behavior during the quest Blindsighted. Make sure that "Brynjolf & Vex Followers" is loaded AFTER "Better Stealth AI."

Known Issues

Some of the dialogue that Vex says when you choose one of the radiant quest jobs from her seems out of place and inconsistent when she is following you. I've put conditions on some of the random hellos & goodbyes, so they will be appropriate to the situation. However, the radiant quest dialogue works a bit differently, and I didn't want to alter this quest.



Future Plans

I plan to add a marriage option in a future update.

I would like to add some random dialogue comments for them to say while following, though this depends on whether I can find appropriate dialogue from their existing voice files.

I also like the idea of giving Brynjolf one of the Nightingale powers (probably Agent of Strife, since I think that would be the best one to give to a follower). However, I'm not sure the AI would actually even use the ability, and it would need to be scripted so that he doesn't receive the power before the end of the Thieves Guild questline. Something to think about, but I haven't messed with it yet.
