Good mod, working as intended, but there is a bug.

This mod works with mods that "rebalance" destruction. I'm not talking an overhaul perk mod, but a simple destruction mod that alter vanilla perks of destruction tree, like:

    https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46186/

Altho, if you going to use this rebalance mod, i suggest to use the second file instead of the first, since ASAP only unlocks vanilla perks, and argumented destruction is not a vanilla perk.

Do not use the "level 5" skills option. It bugged in the early game and it won't let you activate either thief, mage or warrior stone for 20% more exp. Maintaining the normal skills levels in the beginning has no issues and the perks are learned once you reach the needed level for them.

Simple and effective mod that let you enjoy Skyrim more than worrying about perk management.

If you like to play as a pure mage that only use spells, i highly recommend using a mod that increase magicka regeneration rate during combat.

    My suggestion: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/545/?tab=files

The 3x magicka regen version make it so your magicka regen 100% in combat (the same regen rate as off combat)

Pure mage in Vanilla Skyrim sucks, and most people just go for -25% magicka cost on all items to cast free spells. I don't find it fun to have infinite resources to use abilities in a game, so if you want to feel more on pair with your enemies in-game, just make the magicka regen not so unforgiven during combat (enemies have 100% magicka regen in combat, so why can't you have it too?)

Hi! I've been using this mod through Steam on Vanilla Skyrim. I really liked it a lot! - Any chance you could redo this for the Special Edition? Pretty please?

Hmm i'm having trouble getting this mod to work.
It is probably a conflict with another mod (150 mods installed)

"Setting skill levels and race bonus options will not work with mods that change the quest stages of the main quest before stage 90."
Does this mean it doesn't work with Alternative start? I don't really know what stage 90 means

I am getting all the messages as it should, except the last one that says "Finished"

after equipping the ring i did exactly what a.ellis says that should be done:

Click "Install" in the first menu.
Click " Do not change anything" in the next menu.
Click "All skills monitored" in the next menu.
Click OK in the "Adjusting perks" message box.
Click OK in the "Finished" message box. <---- does not appear even after 4 minutes or so

I'm also using a custom race, but i think that shouldn't be the problem as long as i only do this.

Could someone help me narrow down my search area of mods or if someone else experienced this problem, tell me hat they did to fix it?
    Thx in advance

Nice mod but i would like to use it with perk overhauling mods like PerMa. Maybe you could explain shortly how to modify your mod to accomplish this.
    thx

It would be nice for there to be an adaptive system. The only other option for custom perk trees would be to use a bat with the perk names set to each proper rank. In which case you would still have an extra perk point, but you could always just spend it before using the bat.

Does anyone know if this will work with Uncapper by Elys?

      Right on the description page

"This mod does not require any other mods to work, including SKSE. (Though it is compatible with SKSE and Skyrim -Community- Uncapper.)"

For those that don't like those buggy slow-motion perks (Quick Reflexes and Steady Hand) you can use the following console commands to remove them after they have been unlocked.

    player.removeperk 000D8C33 - Quick Reflexes
    player.removeperk 00103ADA - Steady Hand (Rank 1)
    player.removeperk 00103ADB - Steady Hand (Rank 2)

I have also waited a few minutes to see if they'll get unlocked again and the good news is that they won't.
EDIT: Well, I may have spoken too soon. The perks will not get unlocked again if your skill is at 100, which is where I tested it but if you're still leveling the skill you'll unlock the perk every time you gain the level if you try to remove it. :|
I'd also like to say that this mod works with Smithing Perks Overhaul mod if you choose the "Improved Vanilla Perk Tree" which doesn't actually change the ID of perks or add new perks to the tree - it just changes them so they work as they should and you can improve and create more items that you couldn't before.

Thank you for this great mod, a.ellis!
