As previous poster stated the 2k version does in fact have purple textures but the 4k textures work fine. The texture paths are correct, it just seems the game doesn't recognize them. Like I said the 4k work fine and look great.
I thought missing meshes caused objects to display as a giant exclamation point? That said, recently I decided to 'hide' my textures.bsa file to check to see what I had retextured and whatnot (I was inspired to do this after seeing the 'visualize skyrim' mod over on SE). Doing this does cause the purple texture issue. So if its missing meshes, then why would removing the vanilla textures cause it?
That said, what could be causing this then? I literally have no other mod that affects Holidays (there's obviously not that many). In fact, the issue goes away as soon as I disable this. Literally all of its assets are affected. I did notice Holidays has a bsa while this thing's files are all loose. Could that be the issue? I'm using the 2k version if it matters. I'm also using the actual Holidays mod and NOT the old 'Wet and Cold' version. In fact, going to the page I've apparently never even downloaded Wet and Cold Holidays. And no, I'm not using a translation either. I'm a native English speaker.
Why does my game have to be so glitchy -.-
edit: Poking inside the BSA for Holidays btw, the file paths appear to be correct. What, does installing loose files override all that's in a bsa? I've NEVER had that happen before.
meshes point to textures, so if a texture is missing or a mesh has the wrong path then it can cause the purples wrong paths in a plugin can do the same
loose files ALWAYS overwrite bsa's and always have
Well, what COULD be causing this? Like I said, I have nothing else that could possibly be affecting Holidays. Also, I just ran a test through Mod Organizer where I had NOTHING enabled other than skyui, holidays, and this mod. The issue was still present, even though I literally had NO other mods installed at all, not even a re-texture or smim. What could be going on, and why would I be the only person experiencing this? I'm starting to think I just have a weird computer where Skyrim is inherently unstable for no reason. Fml...
