Can you make it work with just the Thane pack?-not everyone uses the Complete one

To my understanding, you can just use only the thane pack when installing Zim's Immersive Artifacts with your preferred mod organizer/installer, and I am using that format as of now.

The load order turned out to be:

ZIA_Complete Pack.esp (which is located inside the _Incomplete folder of the ZIA's main installer)
ZTH.esp (which enables the Thane pack)
      ZTA_Reforged.esp (this mod)

This mod is good to go with just the Thane pack enabled in ZIA.

Which / What doesn't work? Not sure what you mean by being kicked out, but you need the main ZIA mod installed nonetheless. Maybe just try manually installing? Or manually download this mod then try installing it via your mod installer / organizer (if this doesn't work for some reason with your mod manager then probably stick to manually installing this mod).

If you manually installed the main ZIA mod and just enabled the thane pack like in my previous comment, you can just manually install this mod, enable it and you're good to go.

Zim's Immersive Artifacts main and alternative main plugins have the same name (ZIA_Complete Pack.esp) for both the complete installation / all features enabled and for the user-selected custom installation, so this mod should work for both the plugins as they contain the weapon data files (for the four weapons that need to be changed for the custom models to work at least).

Both plugins can be found on the "_Complete" and the "_Incomplete" folder of its installer.

ZIA's mod structure on a custom installation really depends on the ZIA_Complete Pack.esp via the "_Incomplete" folder of its main file installer. Most of the mod's weapon that it offers are still there, though technically "disabled" I think but can be accessed by mods like Additemmenu or via console.

Then it just adds the additional plugins you select like ZTH.esp if you just selected the Thane weapons pack. The ZTH.esp kind of tells the game to work only with the Thane weapons related files /data the mod offers which are still in the ZIA_Complete Pack.esp.

Hopefully this works out for you.

No one is going to go thru Zim's mod to make yours work. You can tell me til you're blue in the face and i STILL won't 'get it'-too many steps to get one mod working. All i am asking is to do one with JUST the Thane Pack file as a master instead of the ZIA?

I think I see our problem; you forgot to mention you're using an old, outdated version of ZIA's mod that makes the Thane pack standalone, hence the missing file / pack problem when you install this mod. I wasn't aware of this, but I'll see what I can do.

Sorry about the confusion, but if you decide to install the updated main mod of ZIA properly (Zim's Immersive Artifacts V1.7.1), you can come back here for reference or get help at the main ZIA mod page.

I think I'll supply a modified "Thane Pack.esp" that you'll have to overwrite to save plugin space. (This is what you have activated / installed, right? Just making sure. )

I'll ask Zimmermjaz first to make sure if it's still safe to use the old Thane mod in the long run or they've made a certain, major change regarding scripts which they might have improved over time.

Thanks for bringing this up as well; I'll check to see what can be carried over from the updated main mod (There are a number of things that need updating after an initial look at the plugin; some weapons types are still different than the updated one), and I'll get back to you if it can be done.

I've gotten Zimmermjaz's thoughts about this, and they've advised for people to just use the latest version of their mod (ZIA). Since the author made significant changes since the standalone Thane Pack (version 1.0), I believe they intend to designate accompanied mods to rely on their latest version available.

I would refrain from releasing a modified file of their old mod, unless Zimmermjaz decides to create a new, updated standalone mod for the Thane Pack.

Again, if you ever need assistance on how to install the latest version of ZIA with just the Thane Pack, just let me know and I'll try to help however I can.
