   All you need to do is go to Garath in the Bannered mare and he'll upgrade your master bedroom for you.

   Try the following console commands:
   
   prid c6e3a
   enable
   prid e4ecb
   disable
   
   it basically does what the purchase script does, enables the bedroom furnishings.
   
   found this on a steam forum and it worked for me

   seek out garath in the bannered mare he has a solution. I mean the best upgrades come from him.

   Confirmed works. I just reinstalled the game and all my old mods. Never had a glitch with this one. Samson's solution worked perfectly though.

   Proventus won't take my gold for upgrading bedroom. Is there something I need to do first?
