But man, I'm so busy. And I'm playing the holy salami out of Starfield right now.
I wanna make it.
But making it for SE means not only do I have to make this huge enb all over again with multiple weathers, I have to go through all those mods on SE I've been frothing at the mouth for but never bothered with cause SE didn't have full parallax until a year ago.
*Sigh*
We'll see what happens.
Update: Not doing this anymore. Someone else made the same style enb for Special Edition. Not sure what it's called though. Yay.
When you open the ReSHade settings/GUI tool it should be the last tab on the top right. I just realized the ReShade setting might block it out lemme check. If that's the case you'll want to install ReShade BEFORE you co[py any of my presets over, open the game, and check that setting and change it, then install the rest.
It's possible the latest version of ReShade removed it or renamed the d3d9 tab, or put the setting for disabling INTZ or whatever it's called somewhere else.
Another possibility, if you accidentally install the dx10/ direct x 10 11 12 version it won't have it at all so that might be the problem.
It should. You'd probably have to do 1080p, maybe 720p resolution though.
It should work at 1080p though I can't be sure cause I don't have that card. Lemme see if I can estimate.
You'll probably want to do 720p. It'll struggle at 1080p. You might get 30fps at 1080p but it'll probably sit around 19 to 20 fps, that's my guess looking at online benchmarks.
What you can probably do is take benchmark comparisons online for Skyrim and try to use math to estimate how it'll perform on your system.
For example my old graphics card was a Nvidia 1070.
I used benchmarks on YouTube or maybe it was just computer news websites for original skyrim or maybe it was Witcher to guess what my performance would be if I got a 3090.
At 4k on a 1070 I got either 15 or 18 fps at max settings on 4k. I divided benchmarks at 4k on I think it was Witcher 3 with the 3090 at 4k max divided by the 1070's average fps at 4k max. I took that number and multiplied it by my average fps on my 1070 at 4k max settings and I got 45 fps.
When I finally saved up enough and bought my new pre built pc with an RTX 3090 I got 45 fps average when I finally played my Skyrim on it, so I found out that the math turned out correct and using those benchmark comparisons gave me accurate results.
So you can do something like that to see if it will work on your setup at whatever resolution you play at, if that's 1080p, 1440p, 4k or whatever.
Hope this helps, I'm very happy you like my enb settings I do really hope you can play it, it is very performance hungry, I had to get a 3090 to get 40 fps. I bought a pre built so I didn't have to buy from a reseller for 3x market value so I was able to get it for the normal price it should be not these crazy pandemic prices.
thanks for feedback really big fan of what u did with this ENB so im going to play skyrim with 800x600 resolution to see if i can run skyrim with this masterpiece
Ya you just got to go in the reshade settings gui and untick the "border" effect. So you can use the rest of the reshade settings without the border effect.
Well, for one thing, don't buy a PC for my ENB alone, only buy an expensive pc if you want it for all games not just my enb lol.
I can't guarantee you'll be able to install my enb a lot of people can't install it cause it's hard to install.
As for what you need to run it, I don't know. I have a RTX 3090 and a Intel I9 11900k, with those I get 45 fps average at 4k resolution, but I lock the framerate to 40 fps to make it easier for my PC.
I don't want to tell you what you need cause I don't know what the minimum would be. I think a 3080 would do it. I don't know about the processor.
Based off benchmarks online a 3070 should get you above 30 fps at 4k.
If you don't play at 4k 3070 will be perfect I think, but it won't look as good as my screenshots cause my screenshots are in 4k.
Also I don't know if my enb even works. I have thousands of mods installed so my Skyrim has bad fps stutter all the time, I think it's my other mods that cause that but it could be my enb causing framerate drops.
So I have a 3090 and I can run my enb at 45 fps most of the time but the game freezes for a second or two very frequently, that might be because I installed my mods wrong or use poorly made mods, so keep all that in mind.
So to answer your question I think a 3070 would be fine? I'm not sure. 3080 would be safer.
All I know is I get 40-45fps with a 3090 at 4k with all my mods lol. Frequent fps stutter still even with that. I just accept it for what it is it doesn't really bother me. I can still play all my other non-modded games no problem. I hope this helps but I don't really know much about PCs and benchmarks and performance.
hmm...This enb seems pretty majestic, however it's super bright seeming. I'll admit I probaby have other lighting mods not compatible with this enb, and of course I didnt use the reshade It does seem to have some potential, if it wasn't for that
Spoiler:
Show
I also have what appears to be a whiteline separating the sky
Okay so I use a cloud mod and my enb has cloud shadows so it never looked like that on my setup I was completely unaware it can look like that at night.
I have a link to the mod I use in the description it's real clouds by soolie. If that doesn't fix it it must be some other mod I have that prevents things from looking like that.
I know the reshade cancels all the awful green you're seeing. But the cloud mod cancels the brightness so it never looked like that while I was making it.
No worries bro, I'm loving how this is starting to look, you'll get it cooking eventually. Thanks for your help. Real clouds is a very awesome mod, I think I might have it already, but I'll be sure to check it out and track this mod for now
Yeah now that you mention it I remember the snow was a bit bright at night.
I just didn't remember it looking that bad when I was making it. I guess maybe with my mods or at least the reshade it didn't look so bad that I felt a need to change it.
There's also one more issue, I live in southwestern United States all my life and I've never actually seen what snow looks like on a moonlit night in real life, so I was confused how I should make it look.
I think I was going for a glowy fantasy night time winter fairy land thing, didn't think much about it afterwards said this is good enough and just left it at that.
I'll think about changing it. Gotta work tomorrow I'm pretty busy and have a lot to do so it may be be a few weeks before I can make changes I'm content with if I decide to do it.
Oh man, you dont know what you're missing. I lived my childhood in San Diego California, moved to Georgia in 2003 with my parents to be closer to family in Philidelphia. It hurts my heart to hear how California has fallen, I still have a buddy from 5th grade that lives out there. He's too stubborn to move and doesnt know anybody out here.
It seldom snows in Georgia, but it will, we just got it this year I don't think I'm qualified to know what real snow is, unless I go to pitssburg somwhere
Yeah, unfortunately it's very performance intensive. I wanted to go all out on the effects. When I finally saved up for my 3090 from CLX Gaming Pcs I was shocked I was still stuck at 45 fps.
I might try to make a Special Edition port, that might run better.
Ya I wanted it to be blue lol that was part of my idea I wanted to do.
I do have the Valhalla Edition in the ReShade presets, it gets rid of some of the blue and makes things more greyish you might like that one better. I made it cause I realized not everyone would agree with my oversaturated blues lol

If you can't find it maybe try installing ReShade 4.8.2, it's the version I use so I know it works: https://www.mediafire.com/file/vrvfw46uuw7hjex/ReShade_Setup_4.8.2.exe/file
or here
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/8ar1jhh1809cl/ReShade_Repository#7lxhmiy4o4r3a
In the Reshade.ini file has 2 lines with ''DisableINTZ=1''
I changed the lines to: ''DisableINTZ=0'' and it seems worked
(?_?

but tell me is there any way to get rid of those letterbox
edit: never mind I solve it

Somewhat upsetting wow.
Man that's upsetting. Not supposed to look like that.
But you definitely want the reshade my enb looks gross without it I know what it looks like without the reshade it isn't pretty lol
I just didn't remember it looking that bad when I was making it. I guess maybe with my mods or at least the reshade it didn't look so bad that I felt a need to change it.

It's in the new download, cheers!
What's crazy is the few rare times you see it snow in the desert. See cactus covered in snow on top and around it's crazy lol.
Currently live in California though so I know what you mean, lol.
Problem is I can't find any setting in the Sky settings that's causing this.
I'll try to keep looking into it, I can't find anything so far online about enb causing this issue.
(100% ENB layman)
Yeah, unfortunately it's very performance intensive. I wanted to go all out on the effects. When I finally saved up for my 3090 from CLX Gaming Pcs I was shocked I was still stuck at 45 fps.
