Old post but could be useful knowledge for others. you're on the LE page. There exists SE alternatives, and it existed for about a month before this user's post. It can be found here. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/63953
Furthermore, form 43 plugins rarely cause instability. Mostly, only when there exists certain scripts. The form 43 instability myth is perpetuated by a particular high profile mod author who did so out of a personal interest in encouraging users to use recent builds of the game to make active maintenance of his extremely popular mod easier. Not naming anyone specific
Will this work with Arthmoors Alternate Start - Live Another Life mod? One of his options is the vanilla Helgen sequence, would your prompts, gear acquisition and scene skipping work with that option? Sometimes I do want the vanilla start but really can't be bothered with the entire sequence, your two mods would work perfectly together. Thanks!
Not without a patch, but I've looked into this. A patch is possible but the current results are faulty, no better than the game's built-in quick start in terms of presentation, and I currently cannot devote much more to it.
If you don't mind the seams, here is a way to manually use the game's built-in quick start (where it was used for testing during the game's development) that the mod is based on. This can be used alongside Alternate Start.
1. In the main menu, open the console (by pressing the tilde (~) key). 2. Type and enter this line set MQQuickStart to 3 3. Start a new game.
This sets the value of the variable MQQuickStart to 3. Under this condition is one of the quick starts (1 through 4) and the one the mod is based on. The original start is at value 0 (though used and modified by this mod). Alternate Start uses 5 for its initialisation.
Dime's Quickstart does virtually the same thing this does, save that you're already wearing the "looted" gear. But I'll surely give this a shot on my next playthrough.
thanks for replying :D well I'm scared of mimics and maybe if the gods left a magic satchel/pack for the player like the one hermionie has (she can store plenty of things in it) as a gesture, or who ever was carrying it didn't know it was a gift from them but got scared and dropped it when they saw alduin lol sorry for bothering you
I've added an optional file that changes the chest to a large sack.
As for the story behind the gear, I figured it to be a sort of a Imperial Legion shipment (hence the predominantly Imperial gear) that, as you also said, become misplaced and abandoned in panic during the dragon attack.

Ralof still have his bandages when you get out of the helgen cave. Can you fix it?

Simple, straightforward, easy, on target. Haven't seen any issues yet so endorsing.
