    * Version 2.2 contains updated navmeshes to help followers enter and exit the new shops.

This mod uses all vanilla assets, so you can customize freely.

To get the same look, you would use the following texture sets:

The roads are from Blended Roads Redone.
Sexy Villages and Towns provides the architectural texures.
For stunning landscapes, consider everything from the author Winedave.

The plants are adapted from Renthal's Flora Mod Collection.
To spice up your interiors, choose from any of 11 styles of  Stone Countertops for all of skyrim.

Immersive College of Winterhold may be noted in the background.

The mod was autocleaned with TESVEdit, as well as manually.

Hope you all enjoy the result.  Endorse if you like it!

    Bonjour,

      Hola Argentina!
Yes, we try to add to the lore without changing/contradicting it.  Happy modding!

Now all we need is new audio files for the ruling family. Like, having tension between them and the mages is natural, their two different power centers. Like forget the anti-mage attitude, their remarkably bitter people just in general. Like having a bad attitude about the College could make sense!
Their genuinely negligent about safety (people running off with artifacts, the broken bridge, etc.), reluctant to actually teach students, kind of petty at each other. Their also a power center arguably larger than the Jarl's own power in their own domain! Tension is basically mandatory under those conditions.

Bonus Prompt: What if their son were secretly a magic prodigy, like he can pick up magic like breathing. Which would drive him up the wall, because he can pick of advanced spells by just messing around, but has to work his ass off to practice his axework? Like does life hate him or what?! But whatever, he can work with this. He can spy on the Mages and... he has whole new reasons to hate them, their infuriating because their people can do better (and also even more infuriating, maybe so are his parents??)
Also he found these really old anti-earthquake wards all over the city... one magical swim later, its clear that their were wards on the collapsed section, but their shoddy, not well up-kept like the ones on land & as you'd expect, broken.

(Yes, I do appreciate this is a map mod, I just have a bad case of plot bunnies)

    yo greymtnfox,
great looking mod and much less demanding as qaxes winterhold rebuild ( great mod btw ), but i have to ask : is this compatible with jk's winterhold mod ?
Winterhold rebuild did, but once played it's too demanding to let in game , but jk's winterhold is mostly static and litlle demanding....
If so then this would be awesome...
    grtz from Ninove, Belgium

Nevermind : after editing both esp's through TESVedit i was able to make them compatible, so now Winterhold looks amazing, even compatible with
farmhouse chimneys after solving a few clipping issues...

      Greetings, o grtz of Ninove!

I would have suggested comparative editing, and here you've already done it.  Excellent work.
One objective was to avoid adding many large structural objects and then to place significant edits out of the way.
Glad to see that it worked out well for you.

The hare in question is based on the default Skyrim animal and no magic or visual effects are associated with it.
Frost Haven is intended as a waystation for those about to pursue quests for the town or the College.

I'm having minor issue with Waxing Winterhold. Followers get stuck in all the new shops needing to use Prid/moveto player to get them out. Mine and playerhome seems to work as they should

Short answer = YES.   I've got several oldrim mods to finish and post, and then plan to start porting them all over.

ok so when you say I cant have multiple mods that edit Winterhold exterior cells, does this include the texture mods like the super popular 2K textures, and the weather, grass, snow etc mods?  I don't have any mods that modify the way Winterhold looks other than graphic improvements. I installed this and it didn't work.

It looks like you did great work, but if I have to strip my game of all my other existing mods I'll probably never experience it. Are you basically saying you need a game file free of all appearance mods?

      Great news:
Texture mods do not edit game cells at all, and are thus compatible with most everything that does.
I use them a lot.  In fact, some are listed above.
(The textures I provided here help render the faces of the 3 NPCs, and nothing else.)
Now, you're an expert.  Happy modding !

Just a note that the “chip” on Winterhold’s shoulder is only 80 years old not 200.
    200 years ago-the Oblivion Crisis
    80 years ago-the Great Collapse

I'm questioning if I even got the entire thing. All there is are the actor folders in meshes and textures and it takes like two seconds to download. That seems insane for a mod that completely re-does an entire town on the game. I could show you a screenshot of my Data folder and you might be able to pick out a mod that is conflicting with yours? I have Open Cities, but I doubt that's the problem, as Winterhold doesn't have a gate...

      @jmackey0718
There is a file that goes in the root of your data folder [ Waxing Winterhold.esp ], and you activate it, as you normally would.
This file is tiny (they often are) but it does a lot.

Let me know if get it going.
..and if not, tell me what you're seeing and we will sort it out.
