Super late reply but if you only want a specific NPC from an overhaul you can use TES5Edit to remove the files (facegen meshes & textures) and records of any unwanted NPCs from a mod's ESP.

Just a question: Why not BELRAND? (The Hireling in Solitude, Winking Skeever) It seems it's the only one male Hireling you didn't cover. And the vanilla one, even if its character and behaviour is nice, is really ... UGLY.
Either i am stupid or somethings wrong... Do you really get all the hair and face textures? I have the Vitruvia skin texture mod and installed your mod. But faerandal doesnt change. I had Elven Followers retexture mod but not activated and even deleted and still...faendal stays the same old vanilla look. What am I doing wrong?
Does he have the hair from this mod? If yes, then the mod works as intended and if he doesn't have the right hair then it's likely a load order/mod conflict on your end.
Yeah nevermind. Somehow Loot placed it above specializedfollowers esp, a mod that changes the perks pf the vanilla followers. I had to rearrange it manually and put it very low in in my LO. Thanks for the beautiful mod. Works as intended and nohomo but i love faendal. Best look ever!
Sure did :D Hard to say what the cause is without seeing the load order, but make sure both the plugin and mod are active and loaded in the same order, and that nothing conflicting overwrites it. If the problem remains it might be worth trying to reinstall or even re-download in case the files got corrupt somewhere, but it's most likely load order related. If you still have issues after trying these suggestions, give me some more info to go on (sending your mod list via modwatch would be ideal) and I'll help you out!
