Now that I know how to change textures (Thank you Bersark ^-^) I have a question. I'm wondering if it is possible to make a optional file or a separate remodel using the true wolves mesh and textures? Fenrir looks awesome in my game and he is massive compared to Vigilance (Remodel version from Vigilance reborn). I was just wondering if it would be possible to use those parts and still have his eyes and markings? I don't mean to sound critical or bossy it's just a thought I had looking at him yesterday fighting a long side Vigilance.
For the model I don't think the meshes and textures are compatible as I think that mods mesh may be different to ?this ones mesh so they textures will be different and not line up if you can link me the mod you mean I can have a look at it and see what I can do to get it compatible (might even come down to me doing a new texture to fit it, the textures were some of my early work based off the originals so not the best quality and could do with redoing anyway :) )

Your probably right the textures and meshes won't match up since they are so different. I thought if the design and eyes could somehow be transferred to true wolves that would work. I'm not a modder myself so I don't know how this stuff works. I just benefit from others that are waaay smarter than me lol. The original version was white but only1dragonr wanted to go for a more black ice night ice wolf theme, you can for personal use take the textures of the original mod and replace this versions with them :)
download the mod (this one because it actually still contains the original textures) unzip it and open up data>textures>actors>fenrir folder and take the "fenrir.dds" texture out of it and rename it to"fenrirnew" then place it in the data>textures>WIPfenrir folder (allow it to overwrite, if it doesn't mention the texture already in the folder to overwrite then you are in wrong folder or it was renamed incorrect) move the "WIPfenrir" folder into your textures folder of your data folder (where ever you have your skyrim data folder located)
I'm a little late coming to this mod and possibly no one will read this, but apparently the original mod no longer has a texture file in it so Fenrir's color can't be changed this way anymore. I get the new theme and all, but the old color theme fit him as well. Maybe a optional file or a separate retexture? I'd do it myself, but I have no clue what to do.
I love this mod and it's predecessor. Fenrir has always been one of my favorite mythical beings. He'll fit right in with my werewolf or my bosmer hunter playthrough. Awesome job.
Just redownloaded the original mod, textures are still there inside the bsa, you'll need to extract them first with your preferred bsa extracting program then follow the above steps :) (personally I prefer the original color scheme to the new one as well)
ooooh I didn't realize you had to extract the bsa I thought they were just folders like in other mods. Now I need something to extract it with. :o Any suggestions?
how stable is this really? im hesitant because the first and main fenrir was wonderful but technically speaking ridden with problems. I love him though so i want it :D
I absolutely love him but i do have three bugs to report: Sometimes his dialogue becomes unresponsive, nothing happens when any choice is clicked. This can be fixed easily by walking in and out of a building / cell. using AFT.
Ive had his nordic frost wolf spirit companions spawn around me randomly when Fenrir isnt even following me, which is pretty worrysome. Solved by disabling them using the console, no apparent problems with my save so far...
and foremost his follow and dismiss behavior is totally bugged. Does all sorts of strange things. usually solved by using AFT to force him to stay somewhere - he should be marked as a humanoid follower but the game treats him as an animal companion at the same time as AFT is running and tries to dismiss him after three days of not seeing him even though i already did with AFT. not using AFT results in nothing happening at all.
Depends by ur mods and load order... is been a while.. but when i tested him nothing of what u say happened to me... i didnt used aft in the pictures.. so is clearly on ur end mate :)
Thank you for the update! However, my main problem with Fenrir was his invulnerability/invincibility. I want him to be tough, have all those unique abilities like Yuriana but not invincible. If that is gone I'm game.
That is still there but is easy to fix/remove, pls give me more few details of what would u like and need so i can make more versions for diferent preferences, alsow new texture collors caming soon :)
Amazing work dude, but I have a question: Could you tell me what exactly "Blizzard Teleport" spell does??. Maybe I was doing something wrong because I put Fenrir in Riverwood by Creation Kit and when he does this "teleport spell" actualy another Fenrir Wolf spawn and now I have 2 Fenrir companions...
U must remove orriginal one placement, from his cave or else u will have a double, the script make fenrir go teleporting while using that attack and when he reapers... scripts track orriginal fenrir, but since u have 2... it brings 2 :D
