So adding the powers via console just gives me the effects, not the powers. Im actually losing my mind here. Is there a way to just add the toggle powers?
I believe there isn't currently a way to add powers using the console, although I would really like that for troubleshooting purposes if nothing else. I use a custom khajiit race so I'd like to be able to use this mod with that.
Great mod but unfortunately I had to unistall it due to a small incompatibility with CACO, whenever I eat an ingredient to discover the properties if it have a non beneficial effect like "damage stamina/health/magicka" the damage-screen-effect upon leaving inventory enables the night vision and can't do anything to remove it. Anyways, works great without CACO, so I'll keep the later and endorse your mod anyways. Sorry for broken english.
I consider corpse detection "not canon" for vampires and werewolves But you can always take a look at my Undeath the Ascension mod and see how I built corpse detection vision for liches there, and see if you can replicate the effects . Also, If you really want to take a shot at actually modding it, remember to check my scripts for this mod. The source files come with descriptions and explanations attempting to guide modders with this system. It is a mod, but I did built is as a a "framework" upon which to base vision-altering powers
Thanks for this. Predator Vision just randomly stopped working for me as well. This is a good replacement for it except that Night Vision seems a bit off here.
All you need to do is make it form 44 and the mod works 100%. Just make sure to put it under your vamp mod since it overwrites a vampvisionspell. Otherwise, I LOVE this mod way better than Predator Vision. Thanks @Myst42;)
Hey,i found this mod and would like to switch to it from Predator Vision.
I just wanted to ask if there is a possibility to gain the visions as a human, like in predator vision.Mostly for testing purposes,to see if that mod works with Rudy ENB + Enhanced ENB Night Eye.
I was able to make nightvision/Predator Vision look pretty good with EENE mod, though it offered some specific esp originally made for Predator Vision. So i wanna test now if your mod works with EENE normal ESP
I didn't add any "powers in human form" feature, and I recall I even made a thing to remove the powers if you're human. But for testing, you can always add the spell toggles by name. I don't remember the exact codes, but you can either find them with tES5Edit, or type some of the names in console with the "help" command. Spell names are stuff as "vapire's sight" and "blood sense" ("sense" should give you less results so it should be easier to locate the correct one). Khajiit also have native night vision.
First of all, most ENBs kill vanilla khajit night vision due to the way ENB presets work with the imagespaces. Therefore some ENBs disable imagespace modifiers and some don't. (depends on effects used).
Some ENB authors integrate their ENB presets with: Enhanced ENB Night Eye. LINK to EENE: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50731/? If EENE is configured correctly, the ENB works with any mods that modify the imagespace like khajit night vision does.
If your ENB preset doesn't work with imagespace changing mods like this one, you can do one of the following (no need to do both): ----- I - If under [EFFECT] UseOriginalPostProcessing=false in enbseries.ini and you want to keep it that way for the ENB effects: Go to enbeffect.fx and remove // before #define APPLYGAMECOLORCORRECTION This will change the way ENB colours itself and you might need to modify GammaCurve/Brightness until satisfied under [COLORCORRECTION] in enbseries.ini ----- II - If you use your ENB for softer shadows and don't care for any effects Set UseOriginalPostProcessing=true in enbseries.ini (drastically affects ENB effects) ----- Do only variant I or II.
Quick feedback/review. This mod feels fresh, and when activated it makes me think "wow that's new, that's cool, I like this!" Worth downloading and I will endorse. However ---> This mod unfortunately does not work with ENB, at least not with Rudy ENB (which I'm currently using). To be specific:
Night Eye doesn't work at all. This is not a new problem, it didn't work with predator vision either until I downloaded Enhanced ENB Night Eye (specifically the patch for predator vision).
Hunter vision or "Blood Sense" works like 50%. You get the colors, but not the enhanced brightness. When I toggle off the ENB everything works perfectly: Night Vision makes everything bright and black/white, really good visuals actually. With Blood Sense you get the colors + enhanced brightness.
The question is: what should those of us do which use an ENB? Myst42 are you willing to make a patch, or is this a problem with the ENB and not your mod? Thanks in advance, I hope we can find a solution since after discovering your mod I'm simply not willing to go back to predator vision haha, take that as a compliment ;)
EDIT: By downloading Enhanced ENB Night Eye and putting it below both Vision and Sacrosanct I get access to the Night Eye configuration menu through the shader window. Right now (without tweaking anything) everything just looks blue and off, it will take some time to configure it. Perhaps someone could tell me how I get the nighteye to be black/white like this mod intends?
Well thanks, I guess, but I had bad news for ya. I've been trying to say from the start of this mod',s comment section that ENBs are not my problem. It works on my end, and I use an ENB. Whatever other ENB having problems with it, is beyond my control. I dont use anything weird other than mechanics that exist in the vanilla game, if an ENB breaks them, it's not my fault, and there's hardly anything I can do to fix it. In fact, it's likely that it's not just my mod what doesnt work with whatever ENB you're using, the vanilla game has many other filters, many of which probably stopped working too and you didn't notice. There are things that people use to fix it, but again, not my mod's territory.
So the problem lies with the concept of an ENB itself like i feared. I hope I didn't come off as rude and expected you to make a patch of some sort, at least that wasn't my intention. I've used Tetrachromatic in the past, maybe I'll try switching back to it and see if that makes a difference. Since that's what you're using + your own mod here with no problems right?
In answer to your second question, yes, Tetrachromatic is the one I use. Some colors look a bit different, black and white is not as desaturated as it should be, but it works decently enough for me. As for rudeness.. I've seen all kinds of rudeness in the past and I try to do my best to answer politely. People are free to dislike one's work, but they also should understand I'm free to not give a $#it about their opinion. Requests, aren't that level of rude, but they are kind of annoying depending on how they're written. Ideas, can be nice. But others that start with "ur mod doesnt work" etc, and always assume it's the author's fault when they hardly know what's going on with their own games. It becomes more annoying if you consider that the accused author can do nothing to fix an issue that everyone seems to complain about. But you, I replied, cause you did say some nice things, planted it as a question instead of a demand, and you had the decency to investigate your own problem, and yes, it's related to your ENB, and ENBs in general. Someone below already posted a mod that's supposed to compatiblize some ENBs with filters. I guess that's the closest to a solution you'll get. In a perfect world, I'd have the time to investigate that mod too, and build my own patch since that one's designed for PV, but sadly, I dont, and I have tons of other stuff to do. One final piece of advice: even if you're not a modder, download TES5Edit, and use it. It's a great tool for mod users too since it can spot record conflicts between plugin files. If your filters changed with changing your load order, then you're probably not using my mod's filter anymore. If you're lucky, it's just the filter that was overwritten, if not, you may even not be using the same spell. I dunno, I havent needed the patch so far, so I dont know what conflicts it has or doesnt have. Maybe I'll get to it one day.
Enhanced ENB Night Eye handles all of the visual effects at the ENB level; the plugin just changes the Night Eye effect to make the entire screen solid blue, which is what triggers the ENB to display the visual effect.
