Anyone ever figure out how to get the standalone version of this mod to stop overwriting the vanilla scimitar model so we can use it alongside things like Believable Weapons, Artefakes, or other mods that affect normal scimitars or Windshear?
everything can be fixed yourself by using tes5edit (never tried the new ones don't care I don't have 6 months to study how they work) open the esp and you can delete change links to models and stuff simply by drag and dropping lines between mods be warned once you start you never end because people install mods without realizing they have 1 million incompatibilities in their modded game..with that tool you'll see and want to fix it all
great mod thx for porting it to LE, I'm not really into realism in skyrim I leave that to shadiversity or skallagrim but....this one fleshes out factions that other than the viligants maybe only use basic bandit armor, since you encounter those once this gives them a special appearance, silver hands armor fits the lore of lycanthropy they can't be scratched bitten or risk turning so that complete shell makes sense they look great too..there's that lol was already using the paladin armor, love it
so i tried this mod and it conflicts with guard armor replacer.. it says about "steel_e.dds" or something and i've read about it in a different mod called New Legion.. same conflict the result is that bot mods won't work..
"Why does it say both files require "steel_e.dds" and they break both mods causing solitude and whiterun guards to wear only parts of their armor while some of it stays vanilla reset inv but it's only using one piece of the set as in only 1 helmet of GAR not both that the mod shows in preview meaning one helmet is still not textured and using the vanilla skyrim textures.
I am confused and just want a fix if there is any or some closure to this issue." -what the guy said at New Legion mod about the conflict..
now im scared to even continue hahaha please check..
That specific file is a cubemap, a good chunk of NordWarUA mods use that cubemap and both this and the mod you mentioned have armour made by him so they are most likely the exact same file which means you can just overwrite it.
